I was there in 2019 for the first time and I love that place so much! I will return to Vestrahorn for a whole day next time. Love your videos, keep ‘em coming.
Great perspective on the beautiful location. I’ve been here a few times, but it always amazes me how many different compositions you can shoot. I used to think that the reflection on the beach was the way to go, but I really like how you put the grassy dunes in the foreground. As always, great video…
I enjoyed this video quite much. Even though it seemed not to be promising at the sight at first, conditions changed and the photo taken was wonderful!
Been there once on my first dedicated photography trip (2019) and have exactly the same feeling - I need to go back there and make a better job of it, especially now that I am more experienced and a better photographer. I almost made it back this year (tour got cancelled). Grand image!
Excellent video! I like your down to earth style. Your new gear looks great. Thank you, will continue to follow your channel and recommend it to my photography club.
How did you enjoy driving around in the Jimny? Great little 4WDs. I have had one in Australia for 18 months now. Very capable off road & very popular, still with 12 month or greater wait times
Very beautiful! 👍 The first time I heard the country Iceland was when I read the novel "Running Blind" by Desmond Bagley. I got exactly the same feeling from this video just as the novel --- wet, cold, beautiful wild land, military base and the cold war. 😁
PS: I rarely watch a VLOG twice, but this is a "MUST WATCH THAT AGAIN" moment. Your images are stunning! I had nearly removed ICELAND from my "BUCKET LIST" locations, but I think it has gone back to the TOP after this. I'm 67yo and time is not on my side, so looks like 2022 may be the year. I live in Sydney Australia, so it is a significant journey to get there. My last big photography trip was to Lofoten in Feb 2020. The Australian borders were closed soon after returning home and we have now been in a Home lockdown situation for 12 weeks straight! The only reason we can go out is for groceries and medical appointments. YES .... we are all going a bit stir crazy. Looking forward to seeing the next episode from ICELAND (living vicariously)
Beautiful work; nice hearing your intent/thought process pre-shooting. Headed to Iceland for the first time this summer. What was the card and reader you used to access the gated area? It looked like some sort of park pass opposed to a credit card reader.
These were such beautiful shots. I recently visited there myself, and your photos gave me a completely different perspective on the place. I also experienced the craziest winds when I was there and the sand it whipped up into our faces was really painful, it was really nice to see the coastline in different conditions!
Nice video Todd. I was also in Iceland in mid July and also found this green grass kind of, let's say unexpected, the light that day wasn't also the best, so exactly like you.. I just tried the typical shot Just for the sake of taking the shot, as it was my first time there, but at the end you gotta work with the light you have available. The files are ok.. but certainly could be even better. If you drive at the end to the Right you'll find some ponds were the lupines grow. There are also some gorgeous compositions. Maybe a new composition for next time 😃 thanks for sharing again you experience
great location, but now been done to death and its lost all its romance.... how many photographers was there in that video in the background... crazy... you got a reasonable image in the end.
I am very impressed with your videos, in particular the ones on technical aspects of photography and editing. It seems that every photographer who posts on TH-cam adds music to the viewing section of the photographs. I find it distracting and to me it doesn’t add anything to the photo.
That was spectacular! You must be very satisfied with your #2 shoot at Stokksnes? I would love to go there, was this VLOG take recently? I'd love to see how the other images (Panoramics) turned out, hopin that you can share them in your next VLOG. Cheers.
Grass goes to seed. Stunning scenery throughout. Thank you
Amazing shot Todd!
Vestrahorn always looks fantastic.
Your patience resulted in some nice images. I can't wait to get traveling again.
After watching this which was suggested by a friend, we’ll be eagerly following your adventures!

Stunning capture Tom. Well worth going back for 👍

Thanks! Yeah I know the angle you’re referring to and I’ve yet to make it work. Someday!

Thanks Jorge!
Wow! Spectacular! My son and I hope to travel to Iceland when we are allowed to travel. Thank you for sharing your adventures.

Perhaps we were there at the same time! :) Great comment. If a third visit is in the cards someday, I'll take a look at where you suggested.
@@dominey it can be.. but When I was there I had a cloudless blue sky. I think I was there on July 19th or 20th.

More images and less complaining would be better 😊
