The Santa Fe looks like a "prestigious" tool shed, let's not talk looks when it comes to that car. This is practically a Kodiaq for the people who want a German badge, and it's fine if you want a decent PHEV.
I heard that they realised they had a gap in the VW range that was being filled by the Kodiaq - think it's the more fiscally prudent choice. Not impressed with badges!
@@lisakellet4976 I test drove (and now own) the Kodiaq and the old AllSpace… Skoda was the clear winner in terms of spec, comfort and style. Not so fond of the new model however… 😂
If you want a shorter, more compact 5+2, then it is the GLB, Discovery Sport or Touran. I don't really want an illuminated badge on a family car, looks like the Skoda will be a better buy. Or the GLB as a better deal.
I can see they have tried to improve their recent model's interior quality, but sadly think it's a little too late after the penny-pinching interiors they created after Diesel Gate.
Quite a nice job by VW on the new Tayron. It will be interesting to see how it compers to the KIA Sorento, and Hyundai Santa FE,, great video keep it up :)
The discussion on the models in the first few mins is evidence enough that VW has lost the plot. Had a Tiguan and Golf R from previous gen and really liked them. Wouldn’t even consider a VW now - too many design and tech issues.
Is it Tayron or Tie-ron? Anywoo, consider this, VW has been cost cutting since dieselgate and it really shows now across vw/audi the quality of materials has fallen off a cliff. The accountant must be pleased... And yet they have wasted millions on design and development of a car that doesn't need to exist. The Tiguan is a great 5 seat SUV and the Touareg makes a roomy 7 seater, WTF VW??
Exactly my thoughts!! A friend of mine has a 2009 Golf.. he has installed a set of Chinese headlamps with led lights and daytime running lights, and one of those Alpine 11 radios that pop out from the radio slot and looks pretty much like latest Golf 😂
The most pointless car ever. Skoda are going to take all VW sales as the new Kodiaq is just more impressive. This is an uglier, longer Tiguan with 7 seats and is utterly pointless.
In 2023, European buyers bought 30% fewer cars than they did in 2019, because they've become more expensive. It's the whole industry in general, but of course, clueless people like you, never know the full story.
People with lots of kids. This question gets asked every 7 seater car review and the answer is pretty obvious. My sister has 4 step kids and a son, 7 seater is the only option for them. Not this one though, those back seats are miniscule.
To think I waited all this time for that ugly thing. I hate t he raised line of the rear window that serves no useful purpose whatsoever. No, the 3rd row is for elementary school kids ONLY. Maybe the coupefied Tiguan will look better? it's get a Mazda or even a Hyundai Tuscon instead. It also needs a new less cheap looking steering wheel.
He struggled to explain the USP of this over the other two in the range. What a pointless use of resources to develop a whole new car that adds nothing to the range
Bring back a real 7 seater mpv.. love my Alhambra
The Sharan, Galaxy, those were proper 7 seaters, far more practical
The Santa Fe looks so much more prestigious in comparison. And they complaint that the sales decline is due to the Chinese ?? Gosh

Oh great! Another giant SUV. How refreshing.
So it’s the Kodiaq? Right. I shall buy that instead.
no. It is the Ford Territory
I think the new kodiaq is a better car just without the VW badge
@@sausagesuprise1942 I have the current gen 🤓

When are you posting a review of the Mazda CX-80? Cheers.
I do like the interior, I just wish they would spend time and money fixing their infotainment system and putting buttons or dials in for air controls.
I wish they made normal size 6 seater cars with a bench seat at the front. Dont want a big car, or to have to compromise boot space for 6th person.

VW are so proud of it that they didn't let WhatCar drive it!?

In USA Tiguan Base model S is still have 7 Seats . It's the cheapest 7 seater in USA with $28K
Why film between 2 different spec cars, just confusing!
Why would US buyers take this over the VW Atlas sold here?
Quite a nice job by VW on the new Tayron. It will be interesting to see how it compers to the KIA Sorento, and Hyundai Santa FE,, great video keep it up :)
How about having three different models with five seats "seems a little bit cluttered" is a really nice way to say.....

Tiggy Allspace basically
Tayron with the 1.5TSI must be an absolute dog... That engine in the Tiguan feels gutless so I can't imagine it in this beast.
Looks great for a 7 seater
No wonder VW are in trouble
this car looks nice with 5 seats
The Taycan-Veyron. Tayron is not a good name.
Will it spend most of its life up on a ramp getting repaired ?
No
@@NedNew possibly.
It looks exactly like the Vauxhall Grandland X 😂😂
I don’t know if this is weird but like VW is starting to me like Apple like how the iPhone 16 looks like the 11 pro

I actually like it
Man that’s so much uglier than the Tiguan

Coming back with the diesel engines is a smart move by VW group!!
On numara olmuş.
An unnecessarily very slow presentation
American loves big and boring cars, that's why VW brings this car to market. EU version of VW are always more attractive.
Nice BYD
It could be good for large families, sadly not my thing. Sorry😮
FORD EVEREST I SEE YOU 😅
As always, VW is boring and overpriced, no wonder their sales are going down.
Exactly all their car models are over priced, no to count on their exorbitant service and maintenance

Boring for u... I own 3 Vws and love them
Clown
Not agree😅
I am tired of these boring looking, generic VW SUVs...
The only things I like are the illuminated badges
....Tayron? Is the next one going to be named Chad?
No

@@brummiesalteno-81 he's right though. Sharan would be smaller than this monstrosity and would carry 7 in much better comfort with more luggage space.

Bigger than Volkswagen Tiguan, better than Škoda Kodiaq
Yawn Just another BORING FACELESS SUV from VW
