    Another awesome video! I really like that backpack you use. That big mesh stuff pocket on the outside looks super handy. I am off to Chilnualna Falls tomorrow for an overnighter! Hope everyone remembers tomorrow is free admission to all National Parks.

    Water boils faster at higher altitude. Not as hot either. May be take up bouldering so you could put those rocks to good use?

    Nice video. I've done the same trail about 8 times the last 3 years. One time I watched my feet leaving camp and hit the wrong trail, ended up almost at Indian cove, a bit scary cuz I knew I was on the wrong trail but kept going cuz I was sure I would end up at Indian cove. Turned a 2 mile trip 8 into almost 11. Scary cuz it was hot. Glad I always bring 3 gallons of water.

    Beautiful scenery. I don't like to leave my tent unzipped for unwelcome critters. I wonder if horses could ride in and leave water caches? I hate carrying water.

    • @Sheety33
      @Sheety33  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe you can can cache water. There is a 30+ mile trail through the park where caching is permitted.

    to-go shampoo and conditioner bottles (they sell empty at target etc) for travel, work great for olive oil for backpacking!

    Just had my solo trip at Joshua Tree yesterday. It was stunning. I stayed at motel because it was a last min trip but I really want to camp next time. It was very noisy by street at motel. I like completely quite and I want to see stars (the lights was another issue). I wonder if I could do it like you (solo woman without no backpacking experience though). I got to learn how to do and would like to challenge it near future.

    did the olive oil container expand in the desert heat?
    maybe a screw lid w/ a gasket would work better

    • @Sheety33
      @Sheety33  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think so. I found a much better container with a screw tight lid 👍

    When doing a one nighter, what’s your backpack weigh?

    • @Sheety33
      @Sheety33  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question! I have no idea - maybe 12 to 15 lbs. On an overnight like this with little elevation gain, I packed more so may total pack weight was probably 20 to 25 lbs.

    Another year of drought. I have been surrounded by dead vegetation during all my camping trips this year. Carrizo, Panamints, Owens valley. If you really want to see spectacular Joshua trees, try Lee Flat in Death Valley. Loved your video but too many commercials.

    You are supposed to remove the seeds. Pro tip, cut the stem off or pull it. Then from the butt end slice down and don’t have any seeds or whit on your bell pepper. Way easier way. This vid was 2 years ago so I’m assuming you are good now on how to cut a bell pepper haha. Good vid otherwise
