Can you simulate the APFSDS round from the 60mm HVMS against a T-54 (Early model with 120mm armor) at 2 km? According to Wikipedia, that should just barely penetrate. I'd be interested in seeing how it fares in the simulation.
Honestly that put up more resistance than i expected, still absolutely a fatal penetration but I expected it to be cleaner with more of the penetrator making it through instead of just a comparatively small segment. Edit: Spelling errors
mach 3 is only 1029m/s, so slower than the projectile shown in this video. I'd guess you need to get closer to mach 10 to make such a small object damage the armor of a MBT.
To add onto what the others said, please note that the 3BM4 is a really old round and wouldn't really be used on the field. T-64 would likely use 3BM15. P.S. later T-64 models would be stocked with the 3BM42
@ the delta 6 was basically the round shown but with some minor shape changes and it was make of depleted uranium instead of steel giving it around 430mm of flat steel penetration at range
hi Bros, can you make a APFSDS against freely rotating objects like a 20cm barel (prism) axial attached to see if the free spin can cause shear to the projectile.. thanks

SY already did that and copying is not very good yk

But the amount of spall is enough to kill both crew in the hull
@@simulationbros Certainly, there's no doubt about that but such a thin plate putting up any resistance to a tank's main cannon is impressive.
@@ThatGuyOrbyat that angle the relative thickness is about 266mm and thats very close to max pen of the 3bm4
LOSAT vs 2A7 turret cheek?
Insta pen why are you picking a tank with worse armor then the Abrams
@@austinwhite3132quick question, are you stupid?

@ nuh uh it better be comically large.

Did you see that at a tank museum or something?

Kevlar helmet going mach 5 at pz 4
Dang if it was rha or hha is wouldnt pen probably
Would be a nice simulation, to compare the three types of armor
It is RHA but half of it is an aluminum alloy
I think even if it was RHA then spall would still be created

in other words whoever is behind you shot or impact is vaporized
Could you make a simulation of 6 Pounder Mk 9 Shot vs T-34s upper front plate at 700 meters? Or Type 1 47mm cannon vs M4A3 Sherman's turret face?
You should do another but with the delta 6 ammo
Edit Oml I’m so stupid I thought the HSVT-L was shooting at a T-62.
Whats the difference

@@321cool My brother in Christ the 3BM4 did not sport any model with DU. That is the 3BM36 (1988) which is almost twenty years apart

Isnt that FHA with extra steps?
Technically yes but the aluminum is not hard enough to be effective at face hardening
Hypersonic slipper vs l3 pls :3
but 3BM4 remove the tungsten alloy cap for reducing cost ,only use steel, this is 3BM3 that who has tungsten alloy cap😂
They both have tungsten
ouch
mms of armor???
This is like Mike Tyson vs Coughing baby.
No one ever expected the HSTV-L to be fighting tanks.
Still, cool simulation.
I've still had instances where its UFP bounced Mango.
Hello, could you make a simulation of penetraded area vs he shell, would be interesting to see how the pressure behaves
So is it a T-64 or a T-62 after all?
???
The target is not a T-64 if that is what you asking
