Whoops. It says 13 on the graphic instead of 12. No big deal though. Narration still says 12. Reuploading would hurt the video, so it's not necessary for something as small as that.

The Spin n' Spew ride has all the hallmarks of backyard engineering. A small, compact ride installed on a trailer with limited warning signage - and ball pit balls!

"The Bell" was at my home park in northern Germany, and it was VERY popular. As part of a string of questionable choices the Hansapark decided to retire and scrap it a few years ago to make way for a more/differently themed area and because it "doesn't fit the park's concept" anymore.
The decision was met with strong criticism, but the park doesn't seem to care much about public opinion in recent years, having scrapped/retired/messed up a lot of beloved areas/rides.

12:39 - this now makes me want to see a video on the oldest flat rides out there!!
I remember waiting to get on the Tilt-a-Whirl at a fair as a kid, and they had the history of the ride written on one of the panels where the line was (if I recall correctly.) I think my entire understanding of time was blown wide open as a kid when I read that their manufacture dated back to the 1920s! It really made me rethink history, haha. (And looking back, it was really nice that they had that information there on the ride for people to read, too.)

Interesting upoad here. I actually went on the Apollo ride at Dreamland in Margate many times, the park was then owned by Bembom Brothers who were a Dutch Family. The park itself was only a few minutes away from my home. The first time I rode it with the Apollo Modules and then they painted it from green to orange attaching the Chair-O-Plane swing chairs as you have shown here. Thanks for sharing.

I rode Apollo 14 when it was at Dreamland, in its original ‘ferris wheel’ form. It was definitely an unusual and iconic sight, off ride. From what I remember of it, though, the ride experience itself was an underwhelming non-event. I can understand why they later converted it into a ‘swing’ style ride.

The swing reminded me of the Farm And Wilderness Camp Fair which, if memory serves, had a crank operated ferris wheel, a luge ride that was also hand operated, and one year we had a hand operated roller coaster that the farm donkey assisted with.

It’s always amazing to know about these rides when it comes to theme parks, I still love the rides you talk about and that makes me want to ride them on my “imaginary” bucket list. Also, the channel always inspire me to create new rides as a vision. Thank you so much for the videos! ❤️ P.S there is a ride I used to see, it was like those spinning high-velocity gravity flat rides you seen, but this one actually rotates vertically, and eventually, go back to it horizontal position and slow down, it’s like they mixed the ride with an enterprise ride like the one at Alton Towers!
Edit Update: When the Harley Quinn ride video came out, I was very, VERY disappointed that my comment was not in that video, despite the fact it was hearted by Christian and liked by fans. Nevertheless, I hope this comment gets more attention and a shout out next time!

As a Canadian, I have been on Sledge Hammer many times, and I can tell you from personal experience that yes, it is shut down basically every time I'm there, but when it is open, you actually feel like you're riding a sledge hammer when it is nailing something. I’ve been on the Saturno. They have it in Mexico for an annual gathering in December called posadas. You sit inside it and there are bars above, below, and to the side. You hook your feet under the bottom bar on the floor and hold on to the bar on top as it spins in ALL directions. It’s divides into about 3 sections and sits 3 per section. I’ve got old video of it on a vhs somewhere.

The devils wheel was also a popular mainstay in American amusement parks in the 20th century, and was usually in funhouses. Famous examples include SteepleChase’s human pool table and Arnolds Park’s sugar bowl which are no longer in operation. Most fun houses usually called the human roulette wheel or something similar. It was around the mid 1980s, They were really put out of service due to rising insurance costs, -and in a similar vein they also had the rotating wooden barrel. But no worries! Examples of these things can still be found today at Luna Park’s Coney Island in australia. As well as many European walkthroughs.

Great collection of midway oddities. Have you seen the ride, Turbo, by Chance manufacturing. It made the rounds in county fairs and I've heard only three are still in existence. Worth checking out and adding to a future list!

As a person who previously rode “The Tornado” in Vienna, i can assure you it’s not nearly as terrifying as it seems to be from the outside. It is pretty unpredictable (and high), but other than that, you get a very pretty view of the Prater. So if you get the chance to get there, check it out! ☺️

There's a medieval fair that comes through Gainesville Florida every year. I'm not sure if the fair still offers it, but when I went as a kid there was a flat ride that was a pirate ship that sat approximately 20/25 ppl. It went almost completely vertical with just a lap bar for restraints but the truly amazing part was because it was a medieval fair means no electricity. A bear of a man pushed that crazy thing by hand!!!! He deserves a raise no matter how much he already makes!

You should do a video about old-fashioned rides that only have a few examples left. Some that I know of are derby racer rides, Venetian swings, rotors, and switchback railway coasters, and Bayern Curves are getting pretty rare.

Wow. Didn't expect to see Loudoun Castle get a mention.
I remember that ride from when I was younger, I had no idea of it's history.
    Amazing.
