This fast and energetic jazz-gospel piano arrangement of the traditional spiritual song "Joshua Fought the Battle of Jericho" will give you a standing ovation (provided that is acceptable in your church). The left hand powers the music with its repeated chromatic bass line, while the right hand provides a harmonic kick with fun jazzy chords and syncopations. After a lively introduction driven by the left hand bass line, the main theme begins at the top of page two and is now carried by the right hand. Throughout this arrangement you will hear that initial left hand motif during interludes. Then, with each subsequent verse or chorus, this piano arrangement will build up the excitement both for the performer as well as for the listener. There's also a fun glissando at the top of the last page! :) This advanced piano arrangement is suitable for church prelude, offertory or postlude all year round.
