This is a silent film by D. W. Griffith for which I composed the music. This was a project for a composing class at U of T.

I watched the same movie on another channel and the music touched me so much I was upset they didn't even credit the composer. But after some basic search, I found out it was you. So now that I'm here, thank you Sarah, you absolutely nailed it.

Thanks for researching and wanting to know the composer! That's great that you enjoyed my music!! :) I'm not sure what the other channel was, but I'm glad you were able to find me anyway.

La musique fait ressortir parfaitement la tension de ce film muet et sert parfaitement le récit, accentuant l'intensité des regards des affrontements entre la fille et le père! Bravo Sarah Basciano !

I would add: It is the Direction (by Griffith) and the Performance (by Mary Pickford) that makes this so see-able in our Time.

This music is amazing. So many are not true to the feeling. I was lucky enough to hear early pianist Gaylord Carter who played music for the early silents.

The score really enhances the movie. Thank you for posting. Does anyone else think the priest looks like Brendan Fraser? Perhaps a great-grandfather?

That's Lionel Barrymore who is in no way related to Brendan Fraser. He is however Drew Barrymore's great uncle.
