i've been there 7 times..1st climb hindi pa open for tourism.. sobrang ganda .. fresh walang kaming ibang kasama kundi mga pastol na baka.. second nung openning.. hindi ko makalimutan yung WATWAT special menu ng mga taga cordillera na iniofer ni a for lunch.. pag kakatanda 11 na native pig... 3rd 4th 5th 6th ok pa ma apreciate mo pa, nung 7th sabi ko sa sarili ko di na ako babalik kasi sobrang bugbog na ang mt ulap .. now gusto ko ulit syang balikan after this pandemic para maramdaman ko at masilayan ko ulit yung ganda dahil napahinga sya ngayung pandemic
Please help us save Mt Ulap, its base, surroundings, and the few, scattered poor residents within the mountain ranges. The local officials are proposing a landfill project at the base of the mountain (!). We are against it not only because we live right next door, but also because the place is obviously not suitable for such a grand scheme. But we are little people, insignificant. According to the recent news on Sun Star (Baguio City), the official interviewed said no one is against the proposal. A white lie! Please help us that our cries may be heard. We are desperate for help. We cannot fight Goliath on our own. We are not David. We are poor labourers. Someone out there, pls reach out. For Mother nature.
You know for one that our captain, for long years of service, knows what he's doing and he won't propose a plan that would destroy our place. Don't start with "we are little people" like seriously? How about you should try talking to him personally and tell him that. Also, someone who wouldn't even show his/her face when asking for help isn't really convincing. A journalist of such known publishing company Sun Star wouldn't destroy their image by telling white lies.
