I used to think that (human desire) was the cause of the conflict, but hearing that (human arrogance) was the cause of the conflict made me think very much. The idea of amenism that Tim taught me before has permeated the Japanese people from ancient times to the present as (Shinto) in Japan, so I think that the idea of (the only god) has not taken root until now. Even Japanese people who say I am an atheist, I think that animistic Shintoism is deeply rooted in own heart. I'm glad to hear Tim's story and to have a clear idea of what God is based on.🙏
It's always so good to hear from you, Kouhei! The Bible teaches us that original human desire such as desire to be loved, desire for food and sexual desire is good, but when people try to satisfy these desires the wrong way, then people sin against God, against themselves and against other people. Human arrogance is the root of most sins, because it's when humans put their desires before God's desires. If we don't maintain the right perception of the Creator God and we as people created by God, then priorities become confused and instead of thinking in a "God-centered" way, we tend to think in a selfish or "human-centered" way. I think you are right that many Japanese who say they are atheists, probably still have Shinto-way of thinking. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts!!

空気も水も神の所有物だという考え方が理解できません。
宗教を理解しようと思うのに矛盾ばかりが目立って、詐欺師のように論点をすり替えていると思います。
