wow... yes... parenthood is a great big Everest and adventure. To be a great father will be your greatest adventure. I love this idea of a growth mindset... I don't know it YET... I am trying teach this idea to my kids and overcome my own mind blocks. Thanks for sharing your story
My biggest take away from this talk is that no matter how centered one can be, it doesn't mean that we will always remain that way. A life event can alter that. My old way of thinking is that if I am whole and centered than nothing can change that. So when I do reach a level where I feel like I'm whole and centered and a life event alters that, I won't be as traumatized because I am now aware that life events can take you off of your path. Just having that awareness I feel will help prepare me even more for life altering events. I hope that made sense. 😁

This was SO inspiring and with this interview together with my own mount everests which since 2019 has included a year long breast cancer treatment in parallel to Covid and now recently also gastric cancer with a total gastrectomy I feel more excited than EVER about what life has for me around the next corner. I took a 12 hour phone free walk in DC in 2019 before the “event.” I enjoyed the museums and even a walk around the Capitol in silence and in peace. No photos. Incredible memory

Ed. You need to interview Nirmal Purja. He is just like Colin, with a more intense expedition. Was in Nepalese and British special forces. Left military before retirement to summit the 14 8000 meter peaks of world (including Everest and K2) all within 7 months. His hardness and toughness are Goggins level. Produced Netflix movie ‘14 peaks’ with just just himself and his small team of climbers. All the world renowned climbers and mountaineers including Tim Caldwell and Alex Honnold were shocked by his achievement.
I wonder if it could be in the cards for me to meet you someday Mr Mylett. This interview was amazing. I haven’t seen an interview you have done that I haven’t loved. You have a way about you when it comes to interacting with your guests that draws out the best in them. I wonder… I do wonder if I might meet you someday. I’m a complete nobody on the scale of relevance in this world… but I am thinking maybe, just maybe, I can do something to change that.
