- Jill Ciminillo checks out the all-electric 2024 Fiat 500e in Chicago. It has about 150 miles of range, and she spent a week trying to decide if it could fit into her lifestyle -- even with the long drives she makes to and from Indianapolis.

I have this exact car and absolutely love it! Maybe I’m a little bias because I love Fiats and have owned 5 so far, but this car absolutely fits what I mainly use my car for and it’s just so easy to get used to. This is my first EV and have had it since the end of July and it’s been fantastic!
I've never seen or heard of you, but the TH-cam deities showed me your video and I've been really interested in this car. Thanks! Imma look at your other content.
@@isend2c thank you! Thought this was a great commuter car! So much fun.
First off, how did the queen of Easter Eggs miss the FIAT FIAT FIAT stitching in the seat covers?
I have always liked the looks of the Fiat 500, but this is from a guy who owns a Kia Soul (A minivan compared to the 500)
Could I live with a car that has 160 miles range -- absolutely, I fill up my car once a month (12 gallons)
If I drive more than 50 miles a week I am usually go to Duluth (a 180-mile drive)
The only thing that would stop me from looking at a Fiat is the reliability of the 500. How will this car hold up to being owned for 10 years? Would it still be a great little fun car, or would the repair and maintenance make it "I should have had a V8!!"
If only the state of Minnesota had a better charging network. As I live in an apartment, I do not have access to even a 120-volt power outlet to charge the car. The only reason that keeps me from really looking at a fully electric vehicle.
Love your reviews.
@@todddembsky8321 I was definitely slow on the uptake here! I think this is one of those vehicles you’d want to lease vs buy, frankly.
This is a great size, and has great performance for a city commuter. If only it was priced more aggressively.
@@ALMX5DP the problem is it’s built in Italy.
@@jillciminillo totally, just one of the problems which is a shame since I think vehicles this size could really do well for a lot of people. Maybe in 5-10 they’ll be more attainable and we’ll see some true change in the entry level automotive sector.
@@ALMX5DP 🤞🤞🤞
Jill you do realize that you can go hundred miles in this car, especially in a state like California where the charging infrastructure is pretty good, i take my F56 Mini Cooper electric with a 125 of highway range more than a few hundred miles.
@@rogermartinez78 if only every state could be like California.
@ hopefully other states improve their charging infrastructure in the near future, but as always your video on the Fiat was very informative, keep up the good work.
Not sure if it is a joke. I hear Vegas is taking odds on the over/under in sales. It could be as low as 10.000. You can also lay a bet on how long before they pull the plug on the 500E. So to speak. 24 months is the O/U on that. As Carlos might be out as early as 2026. Good luck Stellantis. You will need it
@@Offensively-normal Ouch. This vehicle definitely isn’t going to be a volume seller, but it also serves a purpose. 10k might be a bit low …
I see... The Fiat is MY car, The golf is OUR car.. What is HIS car!?
Does HE really need one?
@@jillciminillo Do you really need the 500!? Life is not only about what you need! Sometimes is about what you WANT also! My comment was not to spark a conversation but I can see how much you care about your "husband". But hey! we are in 2024! Did you actually ask him? If is your husband you should already know what car he loves! the same as you expect him to know your favorite color!
@ need? No. I live in a city, and we only need one car. But if we were getting a second car, this would work for me. My husband would hate it because it doesn’t have a manual transmission, and he often drives up to 200 miles a day. So it would be my car. and he would drive it only if he absolutely had to, regardless of color. If we had two cars, the GTI would become his. But, since we only have one, it’s ours. 🤷🏻♀️
