You nailed that "Uneducated guy "spot on ! Here in Nebraska the coyotes are dying like flies every cold spell we get as they have mange .There got to be too many of them and now they suffer, freezing to death. Back in the 70's -80's every body hunted & trapped coons, coyote, fox ,mink. We had pheasants all over this part of the state. Now there's hardly any (compared to the old days ) because all those critters are eating pheasant eggs.

Always a great video Brother! I have been trapping every year for 40 years now and I will keep on until I'm to old to do it! Trapping is what opened up this country. Chances are , with that complaining viewer, his ancestors were hunters or trappers, and if they weren't, he probably wouldn't be here today. I'm not to far from you. I'm on the Saskatchewan side of the border. Take care my Friend

Taking pride in putting up your fur is the most important part of trapping. It shows total respect for the animals you were fortunate to harvest. When the fur buyers give you top dollar for your furs is very satisfying. You take so much pride in your furs and it shows.

My grandfathers nick name was Chum. It's the only time I heard that name. He taught me how to live off the land. His guns were passed down to me . My neighbors 12 yo. twin sons are always at my house talking about hunting so with their dad permission I'm leaving my guns to them. Sorry to say but my kids a tree hugger. Thanks for bringing back fond memories.

Chum you are the type of person that should be talking to kids in school not the idiot speakers they bring in to talk nonsense to the kids.
Kids watching you do this at a little shop would love it.
    U are living my dream.
Being at my Cabin, when I can, and cutting firewood, hunting and just being in the woods is great. But what you are doing is what I’ve always wanted to do.
Working hard, common sense and honesty is the best way to be. Wisdom and experience will beat Education any day of the week.
    Keep up the great videos.

Well said Chum- Don’t think Trappers are the problem in the world- we support the local community’s, manage/harvest fur bearing animals (a lot for Disease control)and try to be professional fur handles to the best of our abilities. Someone will always find negativity regardless what another person does in life 😎

Hello there, is a fur handler. I'm assuming you also sell the hides but to who? Do you have a website where these hides can be purchased at? Anyway, how would I obtain some hides from furbearing animals?

"The Man ain't educated" Ha! Best I have ever heard it put! I'm a trapper too and I hear that a lot. Those folks live in the fantasy land that Disney created where all the animals live together as friends in peace and harmony......they only die from old age, and the whole forest mourns. We trappers know better. The wild is a brutal place!

You keep on! I live in east central Minnesota and the wolves run wild. Cows are throughing fits from the wolves harassing them when on grass, it’s always good to see their numbers being demissin used (sorry) a good one when they are way over populated.

My take on people who don't like trapping, hunting, etc is that those people are not close to nature and do not spend much time in the deep woods backcountry. They do not know what is going on in the backwoods. My family has not purchased beef for 40 years, living on what we hunt. We use the hides we harvest, the meat on the table. We are part of nature and it is in our best interest to understand what is going on out there. Are wolf numbers up or down, how are the moose, elk, deer doing, marten, cougars etc? It is a way of life, not a sport, hobby and whatever they think it is for us.

Its a lifestyle few have the luck too enjoy. Over the years as you watch the diseases come under control and start seeing ungulates again. That's is when you know 100% your doing good for the animals. These people in cities and offices have no idea the respect we have for the animals we harvest and see.

God own this land all over the world not man we are over see things until Jesus come back. Over see the land and everything on it. God didn't tell no one they own anything and we don't it belong to God and only him. Yes if they don't like what we do to help animal live they can take it up with God. Stand strong buddy doing what you do to help don't late them get to you. You can bet there not doing anything to help but opening there mouth where it don't belong. I'm a trapper to I tell them to put up or shut up that's all it takes. No money no help. Because we take our money and do our best to help and love what we do 💯💯💯💯🥰

Here in America we have a saying liberty or death and then I added there is no in between. No man or woman should have the power to tell another human what to do or how to live as long as they aren't hurting other or destroying the planet. We all know big government's hurt this planet then any trapper, hunter or gatherers. I block the whiners it's much easier. 👊💀🍻🇨🇦🍻🇺🇲🍻
