Would you replace the connector if the white silky insulation is hanging out around the boot or reseat the boot? The power cord works fine. I appreciate your videos.
Other than visual inspection, is there any type resistance test or something else to warn that connections need to cleaned/replaced on our shore cords?
Probably the easiest test to check the cord connections for heat. One could use a non contact thermometer or thermal imaging or touch to check for heat while the boat is pulling high amps. If the connector is excessively hot then there is resistance.
