    Ron Baron has an undeniable wealth of knowledge and perspective. Meanwhile the typical CNBS Guest are essentially day traders who would get laughed out of an investor meeting if they could even get clients to meet with them.
    It would serve this network well to have this caliber of investor on more.

    After a massive rally in stocks came and yields collapsed, bond yields and the major averages are higher on Wednesday. How do we deal with such market conditions? Typically my $2m worth of holdings go up 8% then lose 20% right after and the cycle continues.

    Dividends from the stock market encouraged me to begin investing. What matters, in my opinion, is that if you invest and make additional money in addition to dividends, you will be able to live off of dividends without selling. It implies that you can provide that benefit for your children, giving them a head start in life. I've invested more than $600K in dividend stocks throughout the years; I'm currently buying more today and will continue to do so until the price falls even further.

      Hearing from an experienced investor who has survived the crisis and prospered is always comforting. It could be worrisome when your portfolio goes from green to red, but if you have invested in strong firms, you should just keep growing them and stick to your goal.

      I wholeheartedly concur, which is why I appreciate giving an investment coach the power of decision-making. Given their specialized expertise and education, as well as the fact that each and every one of their skills is centered on harnessing risk for its asymmetrical potential and controlling it as a buffer against certain unfavorable developments, it is practically impossible for them to underperform. I have made over 1.5 million dollars working with an investment coach for more than two years.

    Nice to hear someone who thinks like I do. I've never bought bonds of any kind. Don't keep much cash either. My money is in stocks, a large portion in pipelines long bought before people even thought about investing in them. Last October, I bought a lot of BDC's. With restrictions on bank lending, someone had to fill in the void on mid-tiered companies needing money to expand. Done quite well on both. Now, dipping my toe into companies holding mortgages. As rates level and potentially drop in the next two years, their portfolios should increase in value. I made most of my money during catastrophes as in when the jets in NY towers, the financial crisis and so forth. Those are times where you can REALLY make the money.

    I'm listening to Walter Isaacson's Ben Franklin biography:
    * 25% of children died before age 5.
    * It was common for a man to have three wives sequentially, two of them dying giving birth to 10-20 children.
    * Women could not vote.
    * Ben's uncle was imprisoned for commenting on aristocracy.
    * Ben was beaten and an indentured servant for 8 years before he could go out on his own.
    * One of Ben's relatives had to buy a servant woman to marry her for a large sum of money.
    * Transport from England to the the U.S. cost six month's salary.
    * The mother of the woman Ben wanted to marry would not allow the marriage until he had his own business.
    * Prostitution was rampant in both England and the U.S.
    * The newspaper Ben belonged to was shut down: The government passed a law that they must review and approve each issue before it was distributed.
    Today we have cancel culture, with few people going to jail. We have chauvinism, with most women not needing to be purchased and having the right to vote. We have CIA social media espionage and influence, with more judicial oversight. 75% more children live and women now outlive their husbands, rather than dying in child-birth. A flight to England is 8 hours rather than 8 weeks and costs a week's salary and is far more comfortable. The same trend seems likely to continue over the next 100 years, and Tesla is likely to be a part of continual, rapid improvements in safety, costs, clean air and freeing up our minds from the deadlock of traffic to focus on what irritates us today without getting into car accidents.

    Ron Barron thinks Tesla is a tech company. Must be in his mind! In my mind as a small investor/consumer,it's a nonunion car company. When Tesla comes out with an internal combustion engined car... I'll look at it and maybe buy one. I see them around as I live in a perfect climate area for electric cars. Not too much innovation in the last few years... Just electric powered.
