One of the very rare instances where the Tomatoes did lie. Dark Phoenix isn't a top tier X-Men movie but it's still good and significantly better than The Last Stand and Apocalypse.

Not to mention the guy who does movie interviews as well. He asks such intelligent questions and truly does his research(which I think isn't hard to do cuz he looks like he is truly a movie geek).

I have always googled who dies before watching something where I might care about the characters. I have to prepare myself for the shock. I can’t deal with death since dad died. It’s pretty sad to care about fictitious characters. But hey I’m just a big baby what can I say.

When somebody said that Lion king 2 is better than the first one I audibly shouted ‘yes!’ And pointed at my screen.. forgetting that I’m outside with my headphones waiting for a train on a quiet platform. I agree that much it seems.
Unpopular opinion: Bad score on RT doesn't mean it's a bad movie. I have so many favorite movies that have a horrible score. and as an actress, Sophie should know better. and this is coming from someone who actually liked Dark Pheonix. It was good.
Priyanker Rao AGREED. Dark Phoenix was seriously no worse than the average MCU offering.
The new Aladdin had a low score too I think and 99% of (a ton of) comments I've seen LOVE it. So I don't really believe the critics there.

I agree with the spoiler opinion. Sometimes, it makes the viewing experience even better, if you know some spoiler. There are even studies about it.
Yup I agree too, but for me it's mostly because I can't wait to what just to know what happens so I'd rather know beforehand.
Same here, especially for books. I'd like to know if it's worth spending days to read it, that's why I mostly watch movie adaptations first. Honestly knowing the end makes me more attentive during the movie/book cuz you wanna know WHY or HOW the whole thing led to that ending. You also participate in guessing the in-between part which makes the experience more fun!

The lion king 2 is bloody AMAZING. Honestly, screw tomatoes it’s brilliant. It actually says it’s 62% now so I don’t know where they got the 43% from.

I had this problem, because one of my parents had seen literally every movie ever and spoiled every twist they'd seen,
so I had almost the entire canon of cinema's twists ruined by the time I was 13. Vertigo was a welcome surprise.

i kind of like a spoiler too, depending on the spoiler because i like seeing and analysing how the show/film is going to go to the spoiler point
I always read the last few pages of a book just in case it ends on a really sad note since it can trigger a downward spiral- depending on what the story is about. Suicide, war, religion, and murder (that we read about in the first person or directly narrated by a loved one not like murder mystery) can really hit me hard.

I agree with the spoilers opinion. I dont like the suspense of not knowing. The buildup kills me. I had to walk out during Infinity War and go take a breath cause the tension was giving me such bad anxiety

Sophie is one of those actresses that any director wants for one of their films, if I were filmmaker, the first option would be Sophie Turner, i fell in love with her when she played Jean Grey in X-men apocalypse, what you think?
She's fine in GoT and a horrible Jean Grey (so was Famke Janssen). They really need to do a better job casting Jean Grey, especially for the MCU version of the X-men.

I couldn't agree more about the spoilers!!! I enjoy the "HOW" rather than "WHAT" in movies, book, etc... The process on HOW the storyline was built, the dialogues, the climaxes, the plot twists are more important than who dies or gets the boy/girl... Even knowing if Ironman dies or not, the we get there is way more interesting...
I ONLY watched GOT to have all the spoilers and threaten my students with them in case they didn't turn in their assignments!!!!

The tomatoes lie all of the time. So often, in fact, that I don't trust them AT ALL anymore. I enjoyed Lion King 2 quite a bit, actually, and feel it's underrated. The 1990 Ninja Turtles movie is 40% on Rotten Tomatoes, for example.
