The best I can do for you is advise you to watch Donnie Darko if you haven't already.This game is like an amazing interactive version of that classic cult/indie film.Except your a female.This game IS special just like that film was/is!
God I fucking love this game. I'm amazed there are people here complaining about the point and click adventure genre since call of duty campaigns have just as much gameplay but without the story. The gaming industry has plenty of room for new genres, especially when it's horribly over saturated with first person shooter. Ever since Telltale came along with the Walking Dead, point and click has become my favorite genre, I'm a sucker for a good story and atmosphere. Then again, I'm the type of guy that reads all the books in Skyrim to get all the lore and consider it blasphemy to skip a cut scene in Metal Gear Solid, or any game for that matter.

Tom 'GOAT' Brady it does and in my personal opinion even surpasses them in story and music. Though gameplay-wise you will be sorta disappointed. The gameplay is just walking around but its still artistic as hell. For example, I can compare Life Is Strange to Undertale (which is also awesome) but Life Is Strange still reigns surpreme. Again, if you enjoy a good drama/mystery movie you WILL %100 guaranteed love Life Is Strange. Also the character development in Life Is Strange is the best I have ever seen in anything, movies, games, books, Life Is Strange's character development is just stunning.
You know that moment when you've finished a really good tv show and you don't know what to do with your life anymore but watch it again. I got that feeling from this game.

Hurtgamez Everything about it just works. The art style, the editing, the music, the voice overs, the scenes. And combine that with how it doesn't even look like a trailer for a game but for a movie, I think that's a great achievement on it's own.

I am a 30 year old man and I mean a man and this game just captured my heart. I think about it all the time even now a few years after finishing it. Arcadia bay is the number one place I would live in if I could. It has a great mystery, great characters, top notch music, and tough decisions. Most of all it’s just special.

I can't believe it's been 9 years, I wish I could forget about this game and play it again so I can feel what I felt when I played it for the first time.
I just beat this game last night and am struggling with the decision if its the best Ive ever played. Its not the traditional style of game play that I'm accustomed to, which quite frankly I am mostly burnt out on. So this was refreshing. But with 30 years of gaming experience there has been nothing that came close to the emotions that this game has yanked from my soul. And I just craved every moment of it. I fell in love with just about all of the characters, their stories, and how their lives crashed together. I was constantly eager and wanting to advance the story, but reluctant to do so as I knew the game was short. And I knew I would be left wanting more once completed. Then, once the game was finally beaten, a part of me just withered away to die as I knew there was nothing left to be had. And there was so much to enjoy that I had become so spoiled from it. Now that its over, I can only reflect back on this magical experience of a game and ponder what life is now like for Maxine while I sink back to the reality that is mine and my own 'strange life' that doesnt even remotely hold a candle to colorful Arcadia Bay residents and its and their stories. Thank you DontNod Entertainment and Square Enix for this incredible and memorable journey! I suppose I will, for some time, remain 'Polarized' as to if it is or is not the best game Ive ever played.
I think I realized why this game hits so hard. While the premise of time travel is straight sci-fi, the actions and many of the themes are realistic. We often try to do the best possible thing in any given situation, and yet bad still happens. And really, when you think about it, that is the essence of what makes a story a tragedy. Doing all the right things in the moment but without proper focus on the big and greater picture (No pun at the game intended). The big ticket bad things that happen in this game happen regardless of how good you play Max or how kind you are to others. It feels a little nihilistic, but it still wonderful. Wish more story driven games were like this. And beyond that, its a story about life and how we deal with it. Some rebel like Chloe, Some go mad like Nathan, some try to get out like Kate, and like Max, some fall into strange situations and do the best they can. And bonus points for being the only game to make me legit cry over a character death.

Played it for the first time a couple of days ago. Instantly skyrocketed into my number one spot of best games I’ve ever played. Never ever been so heartbroken and strangely homesick for Arcadia Bay and Blackwell University. Even the music is a masterpiece in itself.
+Davy 拓海 fallout4 and witcher 3 are shit games, overrated based on fat hardcore gamers that sit around all day building things, whist this game you can complete between 6=30 hours and has better gameplay than the other 2 combined in a short span of time. This game life is strange only lacks one thing, its replay value is 0-10 out of 100, but first playthrough damn amazing storyline characters, voices and acting. It has a cool factor of about 1000 out of 100 over score its that good.
+Eden Sama I wouldn't scoff Witcher 3 like that. Witcher 3 is amazing with its detailed world filled with good story, excellent quests and great, memorable characters. It sets a new standard for open world RPGs. I've sunk 250+ hours into Witcher 3 and I'm still finding new things. I think Witcher 3 definitely deserves to be called GOTY due to its innovations (its expansion Hearts of Stone is even better than the original game imo). However it doesn't stick around in my head or make me think about things like LiS. I thought about Witcher 3 after finishing it for like a week and that was it but for LiS it's been 2 months since I completed it and I still think about it everyday. My eyes still get slightly misty whenever I hear Spanish Sahara. If someone asks me what my GOTY 2015 was I'll definitely say Witcher 3. If they ask me what my best gaming experience in 2015 was I'll definitely say LiS.
When max rewinds, she travels time. You wouldn't be affected,because you will be left in the same reality while max is altering the timeline (e.g. Rewinding, going back to the other dimension)
I saw what you did there Life is Strange. So you took the common video game mechanic of checkpoints, saving progress, reloading previous game saves and respawning and made that the entire premise of your game.

I want to forget everything and discover the game again :'(. Oh the nostalgia. I wish I could replay it like it was the first time again. It holds a special place in my heart. I love games that focus on story, and the character development in this game is one of my favorite aspects of it. Sure the dialogue is "cringey" but that makes me love it even more. This is the most important game I've ever owned because it means so much to me, it's hard to explain. And now with the release of episode 1 of the prequel the only flaw or pet peeve that I had about this game is gone. I thought it was kind of annoying that Chloe wouldn't shut up about Rachel Amber. But I didn't understand how important she was to Chloe, and now I do. I was worried about them putting Rachel in a game but I loved it. And it only reinforced the love and respect I have for the game.
Life is strange is probably my favorite game to ever exist. The game made me an emotional wreck and I’m really sad that I finished it because now I don’t know what to do with my life. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who is thinking of buying it. 100% worth the money if you like adventure games.

I would not change anything because the only way in life is forward... but that doesn't mean I don't have fantasies of how differently things would play out had I made different choices. THAT is what I love about this game. It satiates that part of me that does wonder what could have been.

I've played all the seasons now.. All I can say: It's the best series I have ever played in my life, but I need to add: The producers of this are all sadistic. They want to see you shouting, crying and in pain. It's a very emotional game.

This is game is so amazing. If you haven't played yet, PLAY IT! Explore everything. Everything is connected. This story goes above and beyond. You literally have no clue until you witness it.

Played it for the first time a couple of days ago. Instantly skyrocketed into my number one spot of best games I’ve ever played. Never ever been so heartbroken and strangely homesick for Arcadia Bay and Blackwell University. Even the music is a masterpiece in itself.

+Davy 拓海 fallout4 and witcher 3 are shit games, overrated based on fat hardcore gamers that sit around all day building things, whist this game you can complete between 6=30 hours and has better gameplay than the other 2 combined in a short span of time. This game life is strange only lacks one thing, its replay value is 0-10 out of 100, but first playthrough damn amazing storyline characters, voices and acting. It has a cool factor of about 1000 out of 100 over score its that good.
+Eden Sama I wouldn't scoff Witcher 3 like that. Witcher 3 is amazing with its detailed world filled with good story, excellent quests and great, memorable characters. It sets a new standard for open world RPGs. I've sunk 250+ hours into Witcher 3 and I'm still finding new things. I think Witcher 3 definitely deserves to be called GOTY due to its innovations (its expansion Hearts of Stone is even better than the original game imo). However it doesn't stick around in my head or make me think about things like LiS. I thought about Witcher 3 after finishing it for like a week and that was it but for LiS it's been 2 months since I completed it and I still think about it everyday. My eyes still get slightly misty whenever I hear Spanish Sahara.
If someone asks me what my GOTY 2015 was I'll definitely say Witcher 3. If they ask me what my best gaming experience in 2015 was I'll definitely say LiS.

When max rewinds, she travels time. You wouldn't be affected,because you will be left in the same reality while max is altering the timeline (e.g. Rewinding, going back to the other dimension)

Oh the nostalgia. I wish I could replay it like it was the first time again. It holds a special place in my heart. I love games that focus on story, and the character development in this game is one of my favorite aspects of it. Sure the dialogue is "cringey" but that makes me love it even more. This is the most important game I've ever owned because it means so much to me, it's hard to explain. And now with the release of episode 1 of the prequel the only flaw or pet peeve that I had about this game is gone. I thought it was kind of annoying that Chloe wouldn't shut up about Rachel Amber. But I didn't understand how important she was to Chloe, and now I do. I was worried about them putting Rachel in a game but I loved it. And it only reinforced the love and respect I have for the game.

Life is strange is probably my favorite game to ever exist. The game made me an emotional wreck and I’m really sad that I finished it because now I don’t know what to do with my life. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who is thinking of buying it. 100% worth the money if you like adventure games.

I don't play video games much these days but this is the best game I've played in a LONG time. I'm HOOKED after 90 minutes of playing it.
This game made it on my top ten list of all time and max was put in both my favorite 10 female protagonists for all time AND top 10 protagonist of all time.

I've played PC and Console games like Doom, Quake, Half Life, Alan Wake, Battlefield, COD, Gears of War, God of War, Street Fighter, Tekken, Command & Conquer, Tomb Raider, Mortal Kombat, Crysis, Dead Rising, Grand Theft Auto, Hitman, Metro, Resident Evil, Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor, Batman, Sleeping Dogs, Watch Dogs, Witcher 3, Dead Space, Medal of Honor, Far Cry, Rainbow Six, The Division, Assassin's Creed, etc, etc...I have to admit that Life is Strange is a really good game!!! I give it a 10 out of 10!!!
