All that black stuff was from the material from that soft case disintegrating. I've come across that before. Also, back in the day, you could buy all those games from Blockbuster and the other video games when they were changing out their inventory. I doubt he stole all of those, or he wouldn't have had the boxes and the manuals.

Back in my teenage days I used to buy preowned games from video game rental stores. That’s where I am sure he got these. That black dust is from the gameboy case, it what happens when the inside lining falls apart over time. Nice pickups dude. Love me SNES and N64 games, however that gameboy color rental case is my favorite part of this find.

That stuff on the gameboy is from the top of the case from age
All that black powder is from the foam in the top of that case, I bought a case like that a few months ago filled with a Gameboy and games and it was the same way, i just pulled the foam insert out and vacuumed it off, it cleaned up well but its the standard yellow color foam now as the black was what was coming off.

Blockbuster had many many many many times throughout its history where they had two prices on a video games a rental price and a purchase price but they had the Blockbuster stickers on all of them
Hollywood Video took over a lot of the Blockbusters and then went out of business when streaming became a thing

They sold nes games in huge table bins at the end of cartridges 5 and less prices are crazy for anything vintage these dayz

That black stuff in the GameBoy case might be the foam from the case. Kind of like the deteriorated foam you find in the mesh trucker hats.
Always remember Hagane for SNES is a possibility when looking through blockbuster games! I've been lucky enough to have found one in my hunting adventures. Definitely a holy grail game!

In all reality those are just blockbuster stickers, they aren’t official blockbuster games. You’re better off removing those stickers and selling them clean. Sculptures cut is a blockbuster game. Gotta get that bubble bobble 2 manny!
