      Still somewhat shocked at getting that second hundred in about 3 weeks! It's very humbling :) Thank you for your support along this journey Marty

    New subscriber. What a class act! Love your explanations of track issues and the fact that you plug the other slot car channels

    Nice addition Dave, I just added a pit lane to my track as well, now I just need to maximize my layout as it is only a starter set and lap times come in at around 4 seconds

    I'm getting my first digital set for Christmas, and I plan on doing a similar setup of both a refuel pit and a safety car pit, but do you have to hit the button after it passes the first pit to ensure that it doesn't go into the refuel pit?

    • @slotr
      @slotr  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes depending which lane it is in at different points of the track depends which pit it will end up in when you hit the button. the solution to this is to put a single lane change before the pit lane you want to avoid if you have the room to do so

    hey fella a question on your pit lane lane. Is the pit lane piece (the fuel sensor piece) able to have accessories plugged into it i.e wireless charging or driver display etc does it have two ports? thx hope makes sense ... tis late and also if your aware the startlight that is available how does that plug in i.e does it plug in to both sides of the digital piece or does it basically uses one slot of the digital adaptor piece and mask the other side? im assuming a digital adapter piece has 4 ports? cheers dude for your help possibly and for your content as per usual.

      No the pit lane piece isn't, the lane check piece has the connections on it though. I've not looked that deeply into the start light but I believe it plugs in to just one side.

      @@slotr thanks for your reply. the lane check piece is that the piece for timing sections?

    • @slotr
      @slotr  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@kool-k-kel yes that's them, I think they're really worth getting, I've got the two so my track is 3 sectors, it really helps you see where a car (or indeed your driving) needs attention for each piece of the track

    so hear me out - this is how i have my track setup and its and amazing racing experience. I have 2 separate pitlanes, one for the regular cars and one for the pace car. The regular car pit lane has 2 lanes with 2 fuel sensors, the middle is separated by a automatic crossover - the entry of the pitlane has Carrera pro-x right lane change over - i have moved the sensor of this a bit further so when cars pass over the sensor the lane atomically switches the lane over for the car behind it- this atomically send one car to pits A, and the other to pits B - so there are no crashes or build ups in the pitlanes. as for the pace care pit lane (which is separate) i have moved the sensor of the track to the left, and also moved the pace car sensor to the left. This way only the pace car can enter the pace car pitlane and none of the other cars can. Also the pace car will not make the random lane switches or enter the other pit lane.

    Hallo Dave!
    May I write to you by e-mail? Could you help me - I'm having a problem connecting the Control Unit (30352) via the PC Unit (30349) to my computer. Could you write your e-mail so that I can write to you and send you a photo of the connection problem?
    Best Regards,
    Alexander
