Types of RPE:
1-Respirator: Designed to purify respirable air by inhaling it through a medium which removes the contaminants. All respirators are designed on Negative Pressure.
• Face-piece Respirator (Dust Mask)

2-Breathing Apparatus: Supplies pure respirable air from an uncontaminated source. All breathing apparatuses are designed on positive pressure.

No these are for standard breathing apparatuses, but there are several breathing apparatuses with different capacities are available depending upon nature of activity in which these are being used.

All Breathing apparatuses that supply breathing air from cylinders or other same sources are positive pressure respiratory protective equipments and filter masks, dust masks and fume masks that only filter air from environment are negative pressure respiratory protective equipments.
