Not all but there def should be options like concrete ones ya dirt and park ones depending on slope. Should be somethin a modder could do tbh

im excited to completely forget Cities skylines 1 exists and to jump into a fully vanilla game. no prop lines tools or blank roads/ intersection marking tools kind of suck but i know we wont be waiting long

@@imperatur my graphics card is a few gens above the minimum requirements and I have 28gbs of RAM so fingers crossed I guess. I do have some good luck regarding running games my rig has no right to run 😅

One thing I find interesting thus far is lack of traffic in the cities. I’m hoping this changes I know it can be based off real life times as far as rush hour scenarios and late night and early day.

Big fan of you and I really like your try to recreate an American city. But two things make it more like a European city: the buildings and the vegetation. I also don‘t like the dark filter at the end.
But I hope you are going to recreate Los Angeles in CS:2 again!

Lack of detailing? lmao 95% of this video was detailing instead of building a city in a city building game. This isn't "Path Simulator: The Game", this isn't "Planting Trees Simulator", it is a CITY building game.

The game looks badazz. But the hing i like about CS1 is the traffic management. eventhough it had is flaws.
In CS2 i haven't seen traffic, even i rush hours its not that bad. So i am not sure why we have those great traffic tools.
I hope the money and traffic ettings are on "easy mode" To let youtubers have fast progress, to show the game. But i have doubts.

Gets busy for morning and evening rush hour, no more fake "busy traffic at all times" like CS1. This is also a small city of 23K which shouldn't have busy traffic anyways.
I disagree with cmdr but I think that sometimes it could a good thing for not as much traffic like so much cars in residential for no reason also it still a small city.

I love the skyscrapers in this game but populations should be WAY higher for them to start showing up. I know I shall not zone for them until 100-200k population. But mid rise for sure!

The amount of detail and fine tuning available in just the base game is outstanding! I won't buy the game until I get a new system, so by the time I start playing there'll be some custom content available.

I have played Skylines so much (1900 hours much) that when I watch your videos I grab the mouse and try to rotate the view around something that you are doing... ;) Your skill set is carried to CS ll very well and the roads and business look amazing under your skilled artesian hand. I am in no way slighting your skills when I say I think I may not get CS ll out of the box or ever. As always I am in awe of your builds and talent as a city builder. Thanks for the vid sir....

I don't understand. In Cities Skylines, from the start of the map, streams of cars rushed through the city. In this new game, there is a huge city but there is practically no traffic. Did the developers leave something unfinished or spoil it? Without massive traffic, the city looks empty or dead.

Great speed build but it does seem like you have the graphic settings on lower than highest. If so, is the game poorly optimized and/or has very high requirements as I would believe your rig is pretty highend being a large gaming youtuber.

How are you rendering your videos? The edges are extremely pixelated and there is artefacts everywhere. Especially noticeable in the intro.

Would love to to see big department stores like Walmarts and Costco. And the parking to go with it. Also would love to see some type of zoneable parking lots so that those townhomes aren’t build directly on the road.

What I see is 100+ hours in the game, 98% of it is using unrealistic terraforming and worrying more about trees and paths instead of building a city in a city building game...
Looks like you got the title of the video wrong, the city at no time exceeds 23,500 inhabitants, it doesn't even reach 30,000...
On the other hand, I personally don't like the way you build, I don't think you need so many roads, small streets and highways for so few inhabitants, it's not necessary for each of the houses and buildings to be surrounded by alleys. But hey, it's my point of view and the important thing is that you like it.
Get your smart, European, way of planning roads outta here!

Most TH-camrs are building it this way for these early access builds. It’s to show off what the game can do. I’m assuming the devs and legal teams told them to refrain from building certain structures and to show off x, y, and z.
American cities are so exciting tho, the overcomplicatedness of the freeways makes them so fun to build! It may not be safe or realistic at timed but god dammit its so beautiful to look at, watching tons of cars go every which way.
I see this with a lot of CS1 and 2 builders. They try to cram everything into small blocks right away instead of using the wide open space they have to spread things out. I've also seen all of the CS2 beta builders more concerned with aesthetics while complaining about residential demand, yet NONE of them build to handle the demand. You may need to double your population to handle the demand, so build it, instead of worrying about dumb trees and paths that you will never look at again. So many of them destroy all the trees, and then plant loads more, complain they take time to grow back, which they wouldn't have to if they had kept the trees already there.
is there a reason why that grid just completely ignores road hierarchy? I don't think even Americans would make a stroad with that many interchanges...
This game got me in a chokehold and I haven't even played it yet 😬🥹
