1) the scene where Mia sets the guys arm on fire is actually anne accidentally doing it (the also quoted pretty woman when the servant says " it always happens"
2) the scene where mia falls through the branches and laugh is, again, anne accidentally falling

When it comes to quotes i love when the queen says "We don't slouch like this." I laughed my but off when I heard that line. Me and my friend put it on repeat and requote it all the time!

After watching this like 5 times and thinking about for like 15 minutes I finally figured out the message of the first princess diaries and it is to accept who you truly are.
one of the best memories I have is when my family and I moved into a new house and we had ordered pizzas. we had no furniture yet bc it was being delivered and we sat on the floor of our living room with blankets and pillows eating pizza and watching the Princess Diaries on our TV.

Princess diaries was one the first movies I remember watching as a kid and when I was in primary school in year 6 I met Anne Hathaway and she watched my class rehearse our leavers play and I was one of the leads it was so amazing I cried 😭😭😭😭

So first of course she didn't want to be a princess because of all the rules and tradition and stuff, then she learned from her Grandma that being a Princess is a real job and is even more afraid of all the responsibility and that she is going to mess up so much and wants to run away. But then she reads this letter and it gives her the courage to embrace her true self and the heritage she's got!
That is the true message!! I love this quote so much
