@@yandelyanoIn America there is not an acceptable practice welding on steering axles and brake components ! This axle was not even properly ground to accept a deep veed weld . The temper of this drop forged axle is ruined .
With the skills that the Mechanics generally show, I would have thought cutting out the old tubing and fitting in a new piece would have been better option
You may think you did a good thing by making your own axle sleeve for the king pin on the lathe but there is a few problems. When you were done and put the king pin into the bore it looked pretty tight, is there going to be room for grease. When you get a new king pin set they come with a upper and lower brass bushing usually with nylon on the inside to hold the grease you pump into it. The sleeve you made is to tight and will never hold grease properly.
Confused??? You can almost identify the last one who repaired it in the same place. I could tell you who put a broken rear end housing together by where it broke again and the braces that were added. 24:12 what if Curtis at CEE used liquid nitrogen to put the insert in place, what would happen when it expanded??
Sorry, but #notbloodylikely.. The issue is loss of design temper / hardness of the axle, which was originally a one-piece forging. This repair will get them back on the road, and may hold up for a good while under light to moderate loads. But if they work it as hard as they did previously
Pazienza
Please, can someone answer me? Why do these poor people work squatting on the floor, in the middle of dirt and garbage, without using workbenches, without personal protective equipment? Why don't they wear safety boots? Why do they wear such dirty clothes?

In most western country's this would be an illegal repair and would land the operator and the bogger (a bogger is someone who doesn’t quite meet the expected level of quality) in jail .When it fails I wonder how many family's it will wipe out
It is because of those western countries these people are forced to repair their vehicles like this. It is nearly impossible to buy vehicles parts, so either they scrape the vehicle or repair somehow.
People are very CLUELESS if they think that this is a good and adequate repair !
GL , good luck .
Thanks
What would be the right way to go about this job?

@@vicpetrishak7705the new parts are not as easy to come by or affordable there.
Artesanato ? ? Isso é uma técnica invejável
The welding will usually create a fault on either side of the weld.
I agree with others, the structural integrity is compromised.
Under the circumstances- PERFECT.
Another one of those "I think they call this welding" jobs...
With the skills that the Mechanics generally show, I would have thought cutting out the old tubing and fitting in a new piece would have been better option
But i think its harder for them😂
That y they did this😂
What alloy welding rods do you use? Are the axles forged?
Parabéns muito bom...
Use some gloves man. Avoid hand injuries.
I have to say . As a one of. Bloody good Job ; 😊

I am going to guess.or, speculate,, Could be stronger than original piece was.

It wont last very long
If the orignal forging had a bit more metal round that king pin it wouldent have broken.
Should have used plug welds to
💯

Have you ever noticed when they are reparing something ..no air or cordless tools 16 men with 16 spanners

Everytime the oil gets cheaper the west creates a war somewhere. When oil for dollar system is gone things will change.
Ni ce warning 😮
Because Western can't do sh*t can't repair like Pakistan
@@Ahmed_Nadeem @eddiephillips6740 doesn't understand that Western countries are part of the problem, if not the cause.
