    This is the first time I really understood performance art. I feel as if popular culture has a very narrow view of it because it goes against typical norms of not only constitutes art, but also how we perceive ourselves. Thank you so much for making this information available to all.

    One disagreement with you, Travis, Marina Abramovic's Rest Energy is (was) in fact completely life threatening regardless what type of tip is (was) on the arrow. All one needs to do is imagine a 1/4 inch dow rod going through one's heart...indeed life threatening. Anyway, I am a big fan of your lectures. I continue to learn so much! Thank you.

    45:00 The story about nailing is true. I have a book she and John wrote and it tells the story of how they met. John also said that when he climbed the ladder, if it would have said no instead of yes, he would have walked out of the gallery. Very interesting book.
