"The immune system is our protection system! Basically, it's like an alert and surveillance network for our whole body. When an intruder enters our body, the immune system detects it. An intruder is someone or something that enters without our permission, like a virus for example. The immune system then produces antibodies. They are like great guards who capture intruders. But when a person is allergic to a type of food, the immune system makes a mistake: it takes the food for an intruder. So the antibodies catch it! "
