Hi Elizabeth! I discovered you this week and have to say that I am hook with your channel. I have 7 Antiques booths in MA, and your taste and personality are very similar to mine. You have become one of my favorites TH-cam favorites. Keep on doing what you do... you will have an amazing career. Blessings!
I live in Arizona and those old dustpans are the best. Its so dry, all others crack. The hanging lamp table was awesome. Very pretty large box for 15.00. Was there vintage Christmas under the tables with the other X mas stuff? I liked the baseball bat too. The small vintage galvanized garbage can around 10 minutes can sell for good money. Prices would be pretty good in Phoenix, unfortunately. 100.00 for the little sewing machine and typewriter? way too high. The board game is fabulous.
In downtown Minneapolis, back in the 70s, there was the Red Door clinic to treat STDs 😂 It is a very adorable thrift store, but the name made me laugh, my husband heard it too and he asked what I was watching!
Our estate sale for our mother's sale was done prior to her passing. Her death was expected, and we were in agreement that the sale should be done b/c my siblings were in different states.
Not saying you are but I seriously want to know. Is it disrespectful to record at these? To me it seems demeaning. I know the dead person doesn't mind but the family it can be a hard day and then compacted by the recording. I undstand but I dont.
I totally understand, and felt the same way the first few times I went to estate sales years ago. It's not always people who have passed on, it can be people who have transitioned out of their homes full time or who want to downsize. You never know, and I generally try to be respectful of the items and show them the curiosity and care I think they would appreciate. Hopefully that gives you a little more perspective on the matter.
This is an odd comment. In my opinion, the type that was on the sleeve on your sweater, especially being so large and black and white, is very distracting. It kept drawing my eye from whatever tou were picking up. Maybe try to keep to simpler sleeves?

You’re right! I’ve actually sold one before, I knew it recognized it from somewhere in the recesses of my mind!

Circumstances often demand a sale pre-mortem.

Thank you for the feedback, I'll take that comment into consideration next time I wear it!
