    Best highlight vid of the Jube (and the MKIII, which I also have) out there. Thanks for posting!

      Thanks, much appreciated. I have a few ideas for the next one to improve the mic quality and maybe take a little more time in advance to record good riffs. I kind of just threw these together because I had to get rid of the amp the next morning so it was a little rushed. Maybe in the future I'll get another and have a chance to revisit it - and I agree, the Mk III is really great, as long as you can live without a clean channel and use your guitar volume. That one deserves its own video too I think.

    You got a new sub from Texas, I saw your Blue Splawn demo and it was 👌. Also your 80's logo won me over because I'm an 80's kid (47yrs old)

    I'd like to see you review a JCM900. I have the SL-X and the Hi Gain Dual reverb, both are stellar amps. I like them better than my JCM800 2205 & 2204.

    • @totallyradguitars959

      Thanks! This whole video deserves a bit of a re-do I think. I love my SL-X, and my 2205. I have a 900DR too, a Reissue so maybe that's part of it, but I just don't "love" it compared to the others. Still a great amp, still going to keep it, but if I could only have one it wouldn't make the cut. Cheers

    Also id like to know if the "diodes" are allways working or if they just work when you pull the rhithm clip. Thanks!

    • @totallyradguitars959
      @totallyradguitars959 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey! The diodes are not engaged in the rhythm channel unless you pull the rhythm clip - but a different set of diodes is always on in the lead channel and can’t be turned off.

    Maybe an unpopular opinion, but my least favourite was the Jubilee. All things considered I think I'd go for the MKiii above the others!

    • @totallyradguitars959
      @totallyradguitars959 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I liked the 2205 most, the Mk III second. I sold the Jubilee after the review and got a lot of comments basically saying I didn't really do it right - so I bought another one haha. I still think I like the 2205 and Mk III more, but I'm probably going to re-do this comparison test now that I have another + a nicer studio. Cheers!

    Hi. I like to try This amp … For you This is a good amp? I have 2203x modded #34#36 and jose arredondo 1959slp…. Never had the opportunity for try 2555x. How is the built quality? Regards

    • @totallyradguitars959
      @totallyradguitars959 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey, quality is very good on the build but personally I prefer my 2205 and 2210 to this 2555. That's not to say it is a bad amp, just a personal preference thing - the 2555 feels a bit less aggressive and maybe a bit warmer than something like your Jose amp will feel, so it might be a nice flavor to add to your collection. Cheers

  • @davidledford6482
    @davidledford6482 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    who needs passive pickups, go listen to deep purple,s,....made in japan, an ritchies tone thru the modded marshall majors,an he is never fizzy or fuzzy,an has sense enough to play strats to keep things in control...........

    What VHT amp is that in the background?

    • @totallyradguitars959
      @totallyradguitars959 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, it's a 2003 VHT Pittbull 50/CL with the spring reverb option. Easily one of my favorite amps, especially for lead tones, but it's much darker than your average Marshall so not for everyone.

      Hmmm that sounds like the one I should do next. My favorite amp - I also have a 2210. I'd really like to acquire an earlier 82-84 one before I do the deep dive on it so I can compare the circuits - there were some really big changes between those years

    Nobody buys a Jubilee for the clean channel...it’s an old school Marshall,meant to be turned up loud....I have an original one I bought new in 87...I also have the reissue...the new ones are very close to the originals...Great amps though for that classic Marshall grind...they come alive when you get the volume around 6 or so....Those EMG’s sound great thru it..

    • @totallyradguitars959
      @totallyradguitars959 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks! I really liked it as well. I was actually surprised how much I did like the clean channel, it's no fendery clean but not bad at all, compared to a few other high gainers I have where the clean really is an afterthought.
