Having a parent who owned his own business, a grocery store, I started working there once a week on delivery day. As a kindergartener, my job was both easy and hard, stopping the cases of food before they got to the end of the rollers. Of course, this was in the 1960's, when child labor laws weren't as restrictive as they are today. As we got older, we had more and different jobs to do, but it was fun.

I wish my mom and her family owned a restaurant. She told me that she and her siblings used to cook a lot with their mother and grandmother when they were young. I never met my grandmother, but I grew up tasting my mom and aunts’ amazing cooking. It’s basically in our blood. My favorite cooking is baking, and I’d love to open a bakery or a family restaurant someday.
Imagine being so privileged tho. Just grabbing what you want from any store at any time. Then when you finally get a job, you don’t need to apply or do any interviews. That would be a dream fr.

Thats the problem when parents think that giving everything kids want is being good parent, i know we all want the best for our kids and for them to have what we didn’t, but show them the value of earn money, and you will make them successful.
Well if that's true then doesn't make sense. They already had a problem with her spending money like it was nothing all for them to just do what they told their daughter not to do. Spend loads of money and not being careful with it. If they really did buy that stuff for her then they contradicted their own argument. They told her to not spend so much because it's hard to make money all for them in the end to spend loads of money for their daughter because she worked. That makes no sense. She is so spoiled- we are both only childs, and even I don’t get spoiled that much-
Sure sometimes I get things whenever I ask for them, but most of the time I have to work for it, doing my homework, or studying for a bit test. I mean I just got my FIRST phone EVER only a month ago- on my 14th birthday! I had been more responsible with school and I still am.
There are other things I want to get as soon as I start working, like getting clothes with my own money and saving up more money than I already have so in the future whatever that may be, I’ll have enough for stuff. Whether I head to college or (hopefully) become a singer and actress, I’ll have my own money stored and I won’t rely on my parents to pay for everything
My cousin on the other hand, well let’s just say she’s so used to getting everything she wants that she thinks everyone should treat her as a queen- miss girl just get up from the bed, walk the few steps and get THE DAMN WATER BOTTLE! ITS NOT THAT HARD! IM
LAZY BUT IF IM THIRSTY OR HUNGRY I WILL GET UP AND GET SOMETHING TO DRINK OR EAT!
She asks for Roblox gift cards and she gets them, I sometimes do get them, but this happens like.. once a year- 😭✋🏻
And usually my mom is just like “just get the $10 one” which would give me 800 robux, which isn’t always enough with what I want to buy but I mean it’s better than nothing 💀
Although I will say, I’m very grateful for whatever they get me, and I know they work VERY hard to earn money

I love how some people are willing to go that far to buy overpriced "quality" luxuries meanwhile I'm happy to go to Wal-Mart to buy cheaper clothes that are just as comfortable and last me for years. Besides I have saved a lot to where soon I'll have enough money to pay off my entire student loan without financing it thanks to Trump and Biden both doing something that helped by freezing college interests.

i dont get it with kids these days, they think money falls down from the sky and is easy to earn, not knowing how hard it really takes to get it. personally, i never asked my parents to buy anything expensive, all the items were cheaper, like cheap clothes, cheap phone, cheap laptop, ive never asked my parents to borrow money to buy any video games or any stuff like that. i rarely even spend my own money so when i was around 21, i could buy my own new car without a loan and drive my self to university

Well if that's true then doesn't make sense. They already had a problem with her spending money like it was nothing all for them to just do what they told their daughter not to do. Spend loads of money and not being careful with it. If they really did buy that stuff for her then they contradicted their own argument. They told her to not spend so much because it's hard to make money all for them in the end to spend loads of money for their daughter because she worked. That makes no sense. They really need to write these stories better.
