Another game that proved carbon shaft gave u a real advantage. The power of that shaft make human error a bit less. Look at Hu how he strugels to hit corect and with power....the movement of the body to make a more powerfull shot make human error and the phisicaly focus to be more intens. This game was dramatic but im sure if u ask Shaine and read this face in the end will tell u that he should have lost this game. Once more carbon shaft make the difference.

What a great match. I was worried about my boyfriend Shane there in the beginning, but he pulled it off, as usual. ❤
Mario is way more used to tight pockets. They really do force you into your A game or madness. Earl hates tight pockets. He implodes every time he plays them.
Both are struggling, it's funny to see them like that though obviously they're very talented
Yup, agree with that. The smaller pocket reduces their level of confidence in some ways
It kind of needed to be played differently, and I really felt like Shane figured that out and Mario didn’t. Shane was synching a lot more balls and taking harder shape in his next ball, and playing the table better by the end. I know it’s awesome to see these top pros run racks, but I found this match much more interesting because of the adjustments and unique play required. Also noticed Shane using a lot more long stroke shots with spin vs the punchier game he normally plays where Mario tried to stick with the stun it to win it approach and it costs him.

@@ceqeshtighter pockets honestly reduces the way you’re supposed to play 9-ball or any rotation game, so they weren’t struggling per se. It’s only so much you can humanly do on tight pockets, even as a world class pro.
I am a drop pocket guy but that sound after they fire a ball in its fucking awesome 😂😂

Mario missed the first 9-ball shot, possibly due to body movement. Fortunately, SVB did not have an easy shot and left the 9 ball hanging on the pocket. Finally, Mario took another shot and finished the game.
The first thing I thought when I watched them both missing balls on the first game was "Tight pockets?". They definitely look tight.
Yup, the pocket is tighter than any other table typically used in an open tournament.

Damn these pool table pockets are getting closer to snooker tables every day😮 obviously I know they’re cut completely different and the shorter shelf and defined points make them take balls easier, but size in relation to the balls is getting a lot closer to snooker then ever

The 4 ball moved slightly on the jump (the cue grazed the top of it on the way over). Great catch by the referee.

Simonis 860 "Shark Grey" cloth, too. So, I think combination of table spotted and pocket size/cut has a lot to do with those shots missed at speed extremes (nervy soft and power hard; they each missed a few like that until they adjusted).

When did SVB start stroking so hard it's like he's trying to slam every ball in, the reason he missed that easy shot in the first game something ain't right. 🤔
He was on the wrong side of the 2 ball, he played the right shot, everyone misses balls
He got a quite straight angle at 2 ball. So, he needs to force follow to get position for the 3 ball. That's why he hit a bit too hard.
I get that but Shane has been making a lot of simple mistakes especially at the Mosconi Cup
