Ingredients • 6 ounces high quality semi-sweet chocolate* • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour • 1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar • 1/8 teaspoon salt • 2 large eggs • 2 large egg yolks • Homemade whipped cream: 1 cup cold heavy , 2 Tablespoons confectioners’ sugar , 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract Instructions 1. Butter four 6 ounce ramekin and dust with cocoa powder. 2. Preheat oven to 425°F. 3. Coarsely chop the chocolate. Place butter into a medium heat-proof bowl, then add chopped chocolate on top. Microwave on high in 10 second increments, stirring after each until completely smooth. Set aside. 4. Whisk the flour, confectioners’ sugar, and salt together in a small bowl. Whisk the eggs and egg yolks together until combined in another small bowl. Pour the flour mixture and eggs into the bowl of chocolate. Slowly stir everything together using a rubber spatula or wooden spoon. If there are any lumps, gently use your whisk to rid them. The batter will be slightly thick. 5. Spoon chocolate batter evenly into each prepared ramekin or muffin cup. 6. Place ramekins onto a baking sheet and bake for 12-14 minutes until the sides appear solid and firm- the tops will still look soft. 7. While cakes are cooking, make whipped cream. Using a hand mixer or a stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment, whip the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract on medium-high speed until medium peaks form, about 3-4 minutes. Medium peaks are between soft/loose peaks and stiff peaks and are the perfect consistency for topping and piping on desserts. 8. When cakes are done, allow to cool for 1 minute, then cover each with an inverted plate and turn over. Use an oven mitt because those ramekins are hot! The cakes should release easily from the ramekin.
avery: the knowledgeable oldest sibling, takes on the role of a mini meg brooks: the talented chef who spends a lot of time in the kitchen, acts as a sous-chef ryder: exceptional taste tester, the backbone of the operation
This is so true, my oldest is basicly a mini me and is like the mom of my 3 kids and when I'm not home literally makes dinner even though my husband is there just in the puzzle room with our youngest daughter and when my oldest child cooks she doesn't burn the food (I know this because she always leaves me a plate of food at my seat😢)
Omg avery has become so big. I remember watching one of the picky eating videos with her in it and now to participating in a cooking competition. I cant believe it how fast time flies❤❤
I love seeing them work together you can clearly see that Avery was the "team captain" but I love that Brooks was still teaching Avery something new (even if it is just mincing chocolate.❤ 👨🍳👩🍳
Is it just me or is this the BEST EPISODE OF ALL TIME!!!! Legendary episode guys ♥️ I love you guys so much and you inspire me to do so much so thank you whatsupmoms 😊 edit: thank you for so many likes guys :D
hahaha im a baker, and whenever Meg said something i totally agreed! But good job, Avery, Brooks, and Ryder! I died when you were eating it, I wanted some so bad!
OMG this is the best video you guys have ever posted! You should do more of these. “I like the confidence” and “cleaning is not there specialty” got me dying of laughter, this is so funny 😂
This was epic! I really enjoyed watching their sibling dynamics and how they all helped each other. So sweet! It would be fun to see the kids do more videos like this in the future. Thanks for sharing
I can cook. My go to is Pick up limes. She has delicious healthy recipies. And don't worry, you will learn to cook or fry one day. I also compared myaelf at first but when I found my iner passion, my whole mindset changed. Search on youtube for some easy recipies and make your way to the hardest. And spices can be tricky but just remember you will be able to ddo it one day
