You could tell the rescuers knew how to work with horses!! Their confidence and knowledge made her calmer than you would think...plus they had to sedate her so she wouldn't panic.
That horse is so damn sedated. That's why it sags backwards just before it gets lifted, that is why it is calm. Low head, ears back, not flicking around at sounds, weaving a bit. Really, it needed to be sedated for the lift. Professional job, all around!

As it was a very hot and dry summer here in NSW Australia, she stood on the roof of the water tank which was just timber lengths and fell through. How did she not break a leg no one knows but she was the perfect patient, even while flying through the air. She is health and well, living life in the green pastures of Cattai NSW.

She was totally fine but what possessed her to walk across the wooden cover we will never know lol

Oh and they didn't use a ramp as it would have been to steep and risky. The horse had no injuries from the fall so they didn't want to risk one in the rescue :)

thanks to everyone involved. I love animals. I am also pretty tough (i think!) but I probably shouldnt say what I think should be done to anyone being cruel to animals and even cannot condone some legal farming practices. Even if you dont love animals we have a moral obligation to be good to them. I am not religious but religion motivates a huge percentage of people on this planet, if life is so precious, its value is not limited to humans and it is arrogant and hypocritical to think so.

Did you actually watch the film? It explains exactly what happened and how she got into the tank. The tank was covered and the horse fell through the roof. It wasn't like it dumbly jumped into a hole. It was also clearly not a conspiracy so they could make a ten minute TH-cam video.
The horse was fine. I'm assuming he was sedated, by the way this horse handled the situation blindfolding wouldn't do anything. If you ask me, that would be more stressful, a horse who can't see and is being lifted up.
i think he/she got any injections, that he/she stays calm, because to my friends horse happened this too, and he got injections too, because he was so nervous..

The horse was sedated for the lift as horses normally don't fly. That's usually done by pigs :)

You can see her swaying around and her head drooping as they put the harness on her, she's definitely drugged. Probably the safest thing for her.

Shipping boots are what people put on their horses legs when they trailer them places to keep their legs from getting injured. not everyone uses them.

they probably had put those on after draining the water because they don't look bloated and swollen as though the were as water logged as she was.
