- On vinyl for the first time, as well as on an expanded 2 CD set, the definitive soundtrack to the film Hackers is being released in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of the film, exclusively from Varèse Sarabande Records. The Record Store Day 2020 Exclusive double LP features music from an incredible lineup of electronic artists, and three never-before-released score tracks including “Hackers Suite” performed by composer Simon Boswell, as well as two pieces by Guy Pratt, “One Combination” and “Grand Central Station” featuring David Gilmour.
Additionally, tracks that were not on the original soundtrack release in 1995, including “Protection” by Massive Attack and “Open Up” by Leftfield, are part of this special album edition. The commemorative package includes two black vinyl LPs in a gatefold, new notes from director Iain Softley and unreleased photos of the cast. As part of Record Store Day 2020, this special vinyl is available on April 18, 2020, at thousands of independent record stores. A list of participating stores can be found at recordstoreday.com

OMG this movie made me, everything that i actually love become from this movie, when i get married, My entrance song was Heaven knows, my messenger name (yes messenger) was Zero Cool so many years, all my accounts passwords are this movie aka names, man this is incredible, i JUST realized that this version was released, so many years waiting for it (28), AND, reading comments realized that so many people was in the same situation, I'm not the only one. So glad to read those comments, so glad this song is complete, so many years, man.... 😊

gosh I was looking for this! epic movie, not the technical accuracy but its vibe, and definitely its music.
I can remember watching the end credits of Hackers squinty-eyed, straining to read what song this was (20some years ago, before Google & Shazam) and could only get the song title and not the artist. So happy it’s here now!!!
Praise God almighty! - I have been waiting 28 LONG fucking years to finally know the name of this tune and listen to it in it's entirety while not watching the film!
I KNEW IT!!! I'm so proud of my 12 yr old self for NEVER being satisfied because i knew something was "different" about that guitar. I would rewind the VHS just to hear it. Yeah, I was rewinding DavidFuckingGilmore. This is like one of those lost puzzle pieces of your youth for me, i can legit die a little happier now knowing I was right.

Hackers has been my favorite movie since I was 11. I saw it when it first came out. This song is the holy grail of soundtrack songs. I've had the rip of the one that is at the end of the movie on my phone for years. This honestly is a dream come true to find this.

I don't understand the logic of the people who put together soundtracks in the 90's (and even today still) where they think "Alright, the customer has seen the movie and wants the music from it on an album.... Let's give them half the songs from the movie, some garbage inspired from it, and slap voice lines from the movie on top of everything! Perfect!"
