Revered swamiji it is our humble request to kindly continue your lectures and complete the remaining chapters. My sun will be setting soon and your lectures are my life line of trying to understand my bhagwat gita ,my krishna's eternal song in this lifetime. With respects and pranams.
00:28:25 Na kama kami Not the desirer of desires I will be happy if I get that That includes everything( position in society, job, that person, apartment, position in corporate ladder) This includes day dreaming thinking about different conditions and how the result would have fulfilled me One should be nispriha (without any thirst) nirhankar(without any ego) Ego is a function of mind which says I Whatever happening in body mind complex this I attaches to it. This is kind of umblical cord which connects us with the body mind complex
2.5 months and half a notebook later, I finally finished the chapter 2 classes. What a journey! I am so very thankful for this platform and being able to study the Gita from such a knowledgeable, thorough, enthusiastic, and humble teacher. Deepest gratitude and respect to Swami Sarvapriyananda and everyone involved in sharing these classes. I will be looking very much forward to chapter 4, based on the quick reference in this talk. I would read ahead, but I should rather wait for the teaching, no matter if that wait will be long. Just recently my eldest son said something like “me seemingly doing nothing this whole life is forever more than lifting one finger to do the enemy’s work.” (or something like that; I am actually not good at relaying the words that he says, although I have secretly started jotting them down) Yes, he has been diagnosed with schizophrenia, and no, he has not read the Gita, and, yes, he may still believe that Hinduism is a religion based on idol worship (but no, we don’t discuss God anymore; we just peacefully coexist instead lol). Even so, he indeed has been my life’s greatest teacher, and since it is personal, I will be interested for chapter 4 (well, all of the remaining chapters, of course). With deepest gratitude: Pranam.
00:36:23 Every sound we utter refers to a particular desire When we say table the thought of table pops up in my mind Similarly when I say I what pops up? Is it the body mind complex? Then you are not enlightened For enlightened person this ego is shifted
A beautiful end to a beautiful chapter. My salutations and respects to the Revered Swamiji for sharing his wisdom and knowledge and to the selfless souls who upload these lectures for the all of us humanity. Om Tat Sat.
Around 58:40 a discussion about ignorance being beginningless starts. I know 4 people who have had an awakening. An inner guru told them what to do and they completely changed. After many years, the inner guru stopped talking to them. And many vasanas came back. What kind of a state is that? They weren't calm and peaceful anymore. They feel that they were enlightened or awakened. It's like the rope was half burnt but the part of the rope that still existed was just as filled with vasanas as before. It's like they were awakened but only half way. Have you heard of this? What kind of a state is that? They all felt that God showed itself to them.
Namaskaram Swamiji 🙏💕🌷
Thank you

Na kama kami
Not the desirer of desires

This includes day dreaming thinking about different conditions and how the result would have fulfilled me
One should be nispriha (without any thirst) nirhankar(without any ego)
Ego is a function of mind which says I

Swami Vivekananda: "Close your eyes and say `I`. If any thought of Body or Mind comes, you are not enlightened yet!"
Superb.
Sandy?! Is that you?!
00:36:23
Every sound we utter refers to a particular desire
When we say table the thought of table pops up in my mind
Similarly when I say I what pops up?
Is it the body mind complex?
Then you are not enlightened
For enlightened person this ego is shifted
