Thank you Fr. for today's Gospel reflection...it is love which makes us overcome all difficulties and makes us pray for sinners. Though not easy to forgive our enemies, the least we can do is pray for them. Prayers for our Holy Father that the Lord keeps him in good health of mind, body and spirit. AMEN!

Dear Fr Warner - in today's gospel Jesus sets a very high standard for His followers when he says 'Love your enemies & do good to those who hurt you, in contrast to the Pharisees who twisted the law to suit themselves. Jesus asks us to imitate the perfection of His Father. As Christians He calls upon us to be Holy & blameless before the Lord. Your realistic teaching today is so relevant for us as we live in a world filled with bigotry & hate. We ask the Lord to help us in our endeavor to love as Jesus did. Joining you in your beautiful prayer for Pope Francis on his birthday & thank you for your blessing.God bless you. 🙏 💕

I am so excited, so thrilled to hear someone speaking the TRUTH! I am not surprised that you would be the one to call things what they are.
In my parish I endure hearing lies from people I have always loved and respected, lies they hear from one news source. They have become enchanted and there is no talking them out of some very strange reasons for hating our neighbors, hating them for fleeing their own countries where violence is out of control because my people buy drugs and support the drug lords of their native lands. So these desperate neighbors are hated. And it's spreading. The hatred and lies grow daily to encompass haterd for the usual people dictators prey on, the poor, the gays, the press, the educated, Hollywood and of course and always, the Jews. It's terrifying and I am here to fight for all of us, remembering an attack on one is an attack on all!
I went through a period of fear. I now have courage, realizing courage carries fear, and wisdom and determination and inspiration. I want so badly to say to my fellow parishioners that when you support a lie, you become the liar, just as when you support murder, you become the murderer. Further, I want to remind them what our Lord told Pilate he came here to testify to/ However I find if you say one word outside the accepted philosophy, you are instantly the enemy!
So we must too, testify to the truth, even if it costs us our lives. I am further encouraged by the Eukranias for their courage and for those Russians brave enough to stand strong in front of machine guns and tanks!
My path in my small town, where I do listen to you daily on the internet, is a narrow one. I am alone. And to hear, finally, someone I admire in the Church, standing up for the truth is like a thirsty man in the desert finding an oasis. Thank you so much. I didn't need your validation, but it's nice to know someone I still respect is worth it.
We must also remember that Christ said we were not to be afraid of the persons who can kill only our body, but the ones who can drag our soul to hell for all eternity.

Jesus 's love is manifested in forgiveness, therefore we are called to shun sin, love our enemies n forgive those who hurt us. Sin is an offense to God n therefore in itself a punishment but Jesus is the saviour, he does not punish He loves unconditionally, He blesses everyone that's what we hv to remember this lent. Follow his teachings n we are on the right track no matter how much we stumble, Repentance is the keyword.
In you Lord is my strength give me the grace to pick myself up when I fall into sin.

Thank you Fr. for your reflection.
As I reading some earlier reflection on Jonah sent to Ninevah to repent and whole nation repented and showed internal and external sign of repentance just as Jews are called to repentance,
I wondered how difficult it was to Jonah to go to Ninevah since they were worst enemies and barbarians to Jews.
Similarly in this Ukraine and Russian War, how I am concerned and have inclinations to watch news and TH-cam showing how Ukraine is fighting back and destroying men and machines of Russians as if we are ourselves playing war game with all gore..I also need to repent.
We have to pray that Gid brings conversion of Russian as a nation.

I always pray for Putin that God changes his heart. In fact I pray this prayer 10:4 The government of the earth is in the hand of the Lord, and over it he will raise up the right leader for the time.
Into your hands Oh Lord I entrust our Nation and our National Leaders and our World and our World Leaders.

It was a spirited message throwing daunting challenges. Of course th challenges are from our Lord Jesus Christ. Can Zelenskyy love Putin? Or we our oppressors? Yet we are called to do so.
