It’s funny, I was thinking the same thing about Regan…can she just train in Colorado until the Olympics? Lol tbh it’s super exciting to see her go best times in the backstroke. I’m really hopeful this is her year.
It’s also super exciting to see Simone getting better and better. It’s interesting how the pandemic seemed to have an effect on some athletes….its just super cool to see these people back in top form. It’s very exciting
I’m getting very nervous thinking about Lily king and how fast people are going in her events right now I totally agree indy is going to give Lily some kind of boost….but is it enough? She’s certainly got the experience to deal with these situations…but there’s something about these younger swimmers energy that might be too difficult to overcome for even a seasoned veteran like Lily. I dunno…I already feel nervous thinking about watching lol
As far as Hungarians go: Hubert Kos might have something to say about Ceccon's winning the 200 back. And being Hungarian myself and having followed the Milak saga of the past two years, it seems that He has been training on his own in various pools away from crowds. He doesn't give two shits about media coverage, has had his struggles with interviews since his junior days, and the President of the Hungarian Swimming Federation (Csaba Soos) and many others had coached him about basic etiquette in and outside of the pool. Milak is def a one of a kind dude, I certainly wish him to shake off the blues and keep his mind on training and performing his best, and then, to have fun, race cars, whatever he likes to do. Anyway, just my two cents. Sadly, Hosszu (probably) won't be able to bounce back from her motherhood given sabbatical and weight gain. Too bad, her timing was put off b/c of the stupid lockdowns...
I think Aussies will take 8 for 100 relay. Heats : Bronte Meg Olivia & Throssel. Finals Mollie Shayna Emma & Cate. Olivia will be the future of Australian swimming!
