I feel lowkey guilty for listening to this considering she didn’t want her music to remain being heard (since she spend most of her life working) after her passing.
Miki's sad/bittersweet story: She was popular and successful. However in the latter stages of her life, she got diagnosed with an incurable cancer. Knowing this, she regretted and hated her music career. She concluded that she was too focused on her career that she has not spent time with her family that much. I read somewhere that she even burned some of her albums and songs (probably the papers where she wrote them), and wished nobody would listen to her music. On the final days of her life, while on her deathbed, her family could hear her humming to her popular hits (with most-likely this song is included). It seems that even after her hatred to her music, in her final days she managed to accept things and had loved her passion back. She embraced her songs to the very end. (I read these stuffs somewhere. I don't know which ones are true and aren't. But for me, I just accepted it and appreciated Miki's music. Thank you Miki!)
I can relate to that. I love to sculpt and draw but I hated when my work gets destroyed so easily. It's easy to say "I'll just fix it" until you do it over and over again Repetition is the artist best friend and it's also he's/she's worst enemy. One time I draw a picture of a snowman for my grandmother she loved it so much she told me to draw another one and another for 3 Years for a Hemophilia club we were in. I was going in and out of the hospital for 3 year, I started hating Christmas I regretted drawing it and I almost died because I overworked my self to the point of death all because of a simple gesture of love. I reconcile with my grandmother after that but it will take a while to not be angry after everything but my life advance is never do anything for anyone unless your getting payed

Certainly most of us feel a twinge of guilt listening to your songs because of how it all ended and I'm sure that wherever you are you probably couldn't care less about the words of some nobody like me but your music has not only touched lives, it's saved lives as well. I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for your Twilight Door guiding me through one of the darkest points of my life. Bro she's been dead for like 20 years who are you talking to
@@JohnTitorSGHe's probably just honoring her. He said RIP so he knows she's dead.
I feel terrible knowing that she didn’t want the music to be heard again, but we might as well be thankful for her music so that it doesn’t go to waste. Rest in peace Miki Matsubara
We dont know for sure tbh Her family said in a interview she never said that but i dont even know if said interview is real.. I think she just regretted focusing on music so much and not family

She never regretted her music. She only wished that she did more outside of just music.
Even before her death she still loved to talk about her music with people close to her.
who tf makes music, publish them and then say, hmm I wish people wouldn't listen to them
@@michoxpeople who are dying from cancer, but still focused on their music, like Cat Janice. Fucking asshole. You’re allowed to regret spending so much time on something when you’re fucking dying.
I discovered this song last night and it's been on repeat since. What a truly beautiful song ❤️
Same with me...I am in love with song and singer...
I just found this song. And I’m moved and in love. Just looked her up on Wikipedia and learned a bit about her story. I feel guilty never knowing this beautiful art and person before. This world is huge and full of so many stories and history. Rest in Peace Miki. Thank you for leaving us such beautiful music.
And thank you for your perspective. Makes some feel less alone in their wanderings.

Bro really wrote the whole song…
To you, yes, my love to you
Yes, my love to you, you, to you
I am me, you are you
I feel like that
I remember seeing that coffee stain on your grey jacket
It's the same as always
When we're reflected in the show window
Stay with me
I knocked on your door in the middle of the night
I cried for you not to go home
That season is now right in front of me
Stay with me
While saying that phrase
I held our moments together
I still haven't forgotten and cherished them
Love and romance are different things
I feel like that
You said last night
The second winter has come
When I look back at your heart that has left me
I always felt you there
Stay with me
I knocked on your door in the middle of the night
A hole opened in my heart
That season is now right in front of me
Stay with me
The needle of the record I left, glaring at my loneliness
The same melody was repeated
Stay with me
Knock on the door in the middle of the night
Crying not to go home
That season is now right in front of me
Stay with me
While saying your catchphrase
Embracing our moments together
Stay with me
Knock on the door in the middle of the night
Crying not to go home
That season is now right in front of me
Stay with me
While saying your catchphrase
Embracing our moments together
Stay with me
Stay with me
Knock on the door in the middle of the night
Crying not to go home
That season is now right in front of me
Stay with me

It's understandable to feel sad about the loss of an artist like Miki Matsubara, who made such a significant impact on Japanese music and culture. Her music continues to be beloved by fans around the world, and her legacy lives on through her songs and the many artists who have been inspired by her work. While it is always difficult to lose someone we admire and respect, it can be comforting to remember the positive impact that they had on the world and the joy that they brought to people's lives through their art.
Hehe like my main man Jesus
She may have died young but her music keeps her live forever and always.thats the thing about art. It transcends and so will she.
This song and Miki’s voice gives me happiness.
この素晴らしい歌手を含めたこの美しい音楽が恋しいです。
The emotion of her voice always moves me to tears. It's easily one of my favorite songs of all time
May she rest in paradise
Masterpiece
It's too bad she didn't stay with us to see how big her song would be for future generations. Rest in peace Miki Matsubara❤
ok this song by matsubara miki has already captured my heart
Such a calming voice, god rest her soul.
She was truly a main character
Stunning, absolutely gorgeous tone and feel. I had goosebumps the whole time.
It breaks my heart to know that such a beautiful voice was gone from this world too soon and from so long ago.
can't believe a meme about a doctor pepper ad from 1988 has lead me to one of the best pieces of music that i've ever heard in my life
What meme?
Brother please, we yearn for the meme
People can regret their art but that doesn't mean their art wasn't beautiful. I'm grateful for our current world that allows millions to share music from around the world.....many years after the performers have passed away.
I can count on one hand how many songs gave me chills like this. This is a beautiful song
Rest in peace, Miki Matsubara, your music is immortal❤
Rest in peace miki, your song is loved and appreciated by many 😭♥

If only you could know how much of an impact your music and the citypop genre in general has had on the world, Miki-san.
Like I said, wherever you are I'm sure you don't care and I'm sure one fan doesn't make that big a difference, but let me say this. Thank you for your music. You've touched generations with your voice, and I for one can say that your music will always..."Stay With Me." Thank you, Miki. I hope, wherever you are, you've found a measure of happiness and peace. 🖤🖤🖤
