This guy's kept it 100%. I'm sick and tired of letting the enemy try to consume me. I stand up by not bending to the world's ways.

I love how the father destroyed the computer. A very fair and honest statement against sin. Most would see the value of the computer. He saw the value of righteousness instead.

I’ll never forget when my girlfriend’s daughters (one 2 the other 6) Allison the 6 yr old said to me “You’re wierd “ and I ask her why? She looked at me so serious and said “because you talk to us like we’re adult” I remember it like it was yesterday and it’s been 40 yrs ago…I just chuckled and I told her that I did so because I was interested and respected what she thought about things and I wasn’t going to try to pull the wool over her eyes because she was a little kid…Kids observe Everything and there is nothing that escapes them

Thank you, Father. Truly God has given you the virtue of Davids courage. The father who destroyed the computer truly showed righteous anger as he IS the Spiritual Head of his son and his household, the same righteous anger Jesus showed in His Fathers House. He showed his son the deep love and concern he had for his sons soul as soon as the serious situation was revealed. Such an excellent father.
May Our Lady hold you in Her Mantle of Love and Protection.

Great story but I was always under the impression that David felt no fear in these encounters. I tend to think the bloodlines of the House of David were born with special virtue that made them fearless and totally trusting in the Lord, more so than the comman man- true nobility.

      Good point.

      Courage and bravery are
not an absence of fear though, they're feeling the fear and doing it anyway.

True faith and courage isn't waiting for grace to be brave. Just do it and surrender yourself even in extreme fear. Just do it. Say yes always to God. Period.
I had supernatural experience with Christ the King and after that I know He's always with me anywhere and I look at the invisible Christ my King and trust Him 100% that whatever comes my way, pain, fear and all worst things, it doesn't matter. I believe though they may be extremely painful, my King will grant me enough grace to bear the tortuous stuff.
Say yes always to God like Mary and just do it.

One of my take-aways from this is simply to concentrate all my thoughts on that which is true and beautiful. If I go to a Mass filled with horrid music and a Godless sermon I need to leave marveling at the beauty of Our Lord's Presence and mercy. I shouldn't even bother talking about how irrelevant it was. Talk instead of how exciting it is to assist at Mass.
    Big changes ahead for me.

    Friday, Week 34, Ordinary Time
    Daniel 7:2-14
I saw in my vision by night, and behold the four winds of the heavens strove upon the great sea. And four great beasts, different one from another, came up out of the sea. The first was like a lioness, and had the wings of an eagle: I beheld till her wings were plucked off, and she was lifted up from the earth, and stood upon her feet as a man, and the heart of a man was given to her. And behold another beast, like a bear, stood up on one side: and there were three rows in the mouth thereof, and in the teeth thereof, and thus they said to it: Arise, devour much flesh. After this I beheld, and lo, another like a leopard, and it had upon it four wings, as of a fowl, and the beast had four heads, and power was given to it. After this I beheld in the vision of the night, and lo, a fourth beast, terrible and wonderful, and exceeding strong, it had great iron teeth, eating and breaking in pieces, and treading down the rest with his feet: and it was unlike to the other beasts which I had seen before it, and had ten horns. I considered the horns, and behold another little horn sprung out of the midst of them: and three of the first horns were plucked up at the presence thereof: and behold eyes like the eyes of a man were in this horn, and a mouth speaking great things. I beheld till thrones were placed, and the ancient of days sat: his garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like clean wool: his throne like flames of fire: the wheels of it like a burning fire. A swift stream of fire issued forth from before him: thousands of thousands ministered to him, and ten thousand times a hundred thousand stood before him: the judgment sat, and the books were opened. I beheld, because of the voice of the great words which that horn spoke: and I saw that the beast was slain, and the body thereof was destroyed, and given to the fire to be burnt: And that the power of the other beasts was taken away: and that times of life were appointed them for a time, and a time. I beheld, therefore, in the vision of the night, and lo, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and he came even to the ancient of days: and they presented him before him. And he gave him power, and glory, and a kingdom: and all peoples, tribes, and tongues shall serve him: his power is an everlasting power that shall not be taken away: and his kingdom that shall not be destroyed.
    Luke 21:29-33
And he spoke to them a similitude. See the fig tree and all the trees: When they now shoot forth their fruit, you know that summer is nigh; So you also, when you shall see these things come to pass, know that the kingdom of God is at hand. Amen, I say to you, this generation shall not pass away till all things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
