I hear you loud and clear Cam. I've been to the Singapore F1 where we bought tickets on each day from touts and therefore couldn't choose exactly where we wanted to sit. The experience was nice as it was part of my holiday in the far East. Everything and I mean Everything was expensive for the 3 days and wouldn't be doing it again. Still prefer watching it infront of my TV with your commentary on my ipad. Forget the paddock. If I want a fancy meal, I'll go buy a wagyu steak and cook it myself.
New Netflix show coming out ... 'Drive to the Bank' . It's no longer a sport, it's an investment opportunity. You're absolutely right, Liberty Media are seeking to grow the sport financially when they should just be trying to grow AND IMPROVE the sport. They're acting ike investment bankers not sports enthusiasts.
Amen, Brother! I look at the tickets and then make sure I'll be comfortable in front of the telly. Racing depends on the everyday fan but is not designed for their personal live enjoyment.
Cam, even the comments on TH-cam these days are disgusting. And you can tell most people in comments just started to watch F1.
Cameron, I was at the German GP in,Hockeheim 2003, had a”acIP Paddock” invite from HP, when LITERALLY ,EVERYBODY, was swarming Michael a Ferrari, I stuck with Jordan , and guess what?, I hat the pit to myself, crew took pictures me allowing to stand close to the car HH would race a little later…. Priceless! I couldn’t care less about celebs! I’m a F1 Fan not a celeb fan boy on first row of the bandwagon!
I went up to Montreal. I won't bore you with the details but I won't be going back. Reasons abound.
Yep me to.
Here in the netherlands the Zandvoort GP is more a pop festival than GP
My girlfriend and I went to sau paulo last year and was relatively affordable I guess, maybe 2k all said and done. Granted money stretches like spandex in Brazil and the grand stand tickets were 3rd party, but every race should be as accessible as the next imo. Not price gouging to whatever you think you can get away with in any given country
Same here, I've been watching F1 since 1988 and I've never been to a grand prix and nor do I want to.
These days this sport is aimed at the wealthy, people like you and me just cannot afford the insane prices, it will not be long till ticket prices are too much for us to just spectate never mind fly or drive to a race, its a sad reality
And we thought Berni was bad? Went and sold the thing to Americans! Surprised? Never watched a race since the 2021debacle. Just watched the whole Le Mans race. NowThat was something to spend time on.👍💪
Sir Cameron......there's nothing wrong when you take your son to Silverstone this year.....for a few hundred pounds you two have the time of your lifes.....nobody needs 10.000 dollar paddock seats to have fun!!!!! I Watch F1 in Zandvoort this year!!! Greetings from Holland
We’re all priced out. And it’s a shame. Fans of TRUE RACING are left to watch (if ur lucky) on whatever you use for television. It’s ridiculous greed to the most absurd extent I could ever imagine. And ya know what? All of these drivers would prefer us “the true racing fans” have access to the events. But it’s pop music stars (who know nothing), and actors (who know nothing) that sauce up the paddock and the pleasantries are disgustingly wasted on fools that are there for status and not a care for the brilliance that the engineering and talent that Formula One brings.
The cgv terrace in Montreal is now 1350 cad . I think this year was my last GP :( sure you can go for grandstands but they pack you in like sardines and it’s still 700+
Mate don't forget the 90 quid you paid to watch that Monaco rubbish
💀😭
@@Cameron-Cc I actually cancelled my sub a week ago, it was up for renewal. I refuse to take their pricehike up the you know what. Would I like to have continued with the old price, yes.
Cam - you should get into IndyCar. I'm not trying to convince you that it's better or anything, but it is good racing, it's more competitive than F1, and it's affordable. The Indy 500 this year was attended by some 300,000 people, and yet if you got tickets for carb day (Friday), and fan day (open track and meet and greet Saturday) and the race on Sunday, it could be done for less than $200. Don't like ovals? No problem, go to the season opener at St. Petersburg or the grand prix at long beach. You'll see more overtakes, some great racing, and have a great time.
I have canceled my F1TV account. Yes I am a grey beard, and a fan of some of the drivers. To be honest, the quality of Indycar racing is much better.
F1's pandering to WEF with DEI, is ridiculous and alienating. Pandering to this 50/50 power train concept is unimportant to to racing.
We attended Abu Dhabi 2012. Lewis driving a McLaren was fastest in practice and qualified in pole position before breaking down in the race from the lead. Kimi 'leave me alone I know what I'm doing' in a Lotus went on to win the race at dusk. We went onto watch Eminem in concert at the Yas Marina circuit. A great weekend was had. The highlight was seeing the Yas Hotel (W), light up with the pattern of the chequered flag. The cars were loud, the atmosphere pleasant and the occasion unforgettable. Thank you F1.
Unfortunately what happened at Abu Dhabi 21 besmirched my memory somewhat 😢
Don’t forget Dummy Patrick’s advice in the Las Vegas fiasco.
“Next year they need to pay for three days to avoid this scenario” she was scolding and scathing towards them!!
She didn't say that did she? Surely not!?
@@Cameron-Cc Yes Sir … she surely did !!
The irony of their DE&I claims. Bold call out coming from your goodself, and hats off . I sincerely hope the FIA see this excellent video, @cameronf1 . You’re spot on.
My first GP was at Brands Hatch.... catering was a dodgy burger from a caravan. But i had a seat on a temporary stand at Clark curve. I think Lauda won. It was a great day out. And £13 to get in. Plus a bit extra for the seat - I can't remember how much, but nothing stratospheric.
Watch a WEC endurance race instead. $65 for a free choice of wherever you want to sit (at least so is the case for Lone Star Le Mans; idk what it is for other races, but I’d assume it’s the same
I've been going to the Sebring 12 hr race all my life for IMSA/WEC. Camp out, walk about the grounds, if u choose paddock access and enjoy racing for a Fraction of F1. It's glorious! Meanwhile I've only gone to a couple f1 races. Funnily at the Miami GP since the stadium is open, they show the tv broadcast on the jumbotrons inside. So for laps 15-50 i sat in a stadium seat and watched it like i was in my living room lol
I live in the USA and I will never see an f1 race. Also the Las Vegas Grand Prix shenanigans last year were embarrassing.
You know. 10.000 dollar i can pay a part of my mortgage
Cam this has happened with all US exclusive sports. ie: Yankee Staium vs Atlanta braves regular season game box 413 = $11496
I live only a few miles away from COTA in San Antonio and to take my 2 boys to a race it’s over $1300 for the cheapest tickets and there is no way I’m going without my kids. The paddock passes are $11,000 to $15000.
Much better experience sitting at home with pizza and a drink anyway. Cat on your lap, speakers on high. You can even pause to take a poop, come back and resume.
If the starting ten finish in the same order, then quali is kinda important
All these profits are going to Liberty... Not the teams... So I dont wanna hear shit about not enough money in the sport for another team
Liberty could literally run 4 teams with their profits from Q1 alone...
Thus they could themselves instead of spending money on new tracks like Vegas which they invested money in, increase the dividends to the team thus allowing the inclusion of 2 more teams
Same here. I dont care what celebrities are there. Seeing Trump with Lando made me want to vomit.... Definition of cringe...
Funny you mention Silverstone - I did a session after Japfest in my own car which was around £40 for a 20 min session - good value by track day standards.
F1 ticket prices are in this weird zone where it's almost better to consider building them into a trip - that said I have been to Silverstone twice for the F1 and the atmosphere is brilliant....but you need to have a strategy for seating with general admission!
I would love to take my Son when he's older, he's 4 atm - I'm scared to imagine ticket prices when he's 14!
😂 you my sir are a very smart man you know the value of your dollar and your time that is something the Liberty does not they're too busy worried about inclusion and representation does not generate money that is why Hollywood is dying you are indeed a pure fan never question your loyalty😊
Cameron are not the ticket sales the only revenue the track owners earn. Everything else is earned by Liberty Media. That would be TV and Radio rights, advertising income and hosting fee . Ticket prices are will thus reflect the operating costs and track owners income but I dont think these are reflected in the Liberty profits
Greed isn't just destroying F1... 🧐
It's not just F1, it's all sports.
I can’t speak for all locations, but going to a GP in America, Canada, or the more expensive European ones is a sucker’s proposition.
F1 is the only sport where talentless athletes get to compete bc they’re rich. I never understand how it’s not a bigger story. I get that it was once more necessary, but now the sport is well funded and protected by the budget gap. It’s unfettered greed.
Yall can always purchase general admission seats
You will not only 'own nothing, and be happy'.. you will go nowhere. We get to get VR/AR.
Loved the GP I've been to but doubt I'll ever see another. F1s current direction is not my buzz. I'll keep my memories untarnished thanks.
I couldn't agree more! My last F1 race was Montreal 2001 (which was an amazing experience and race), and I haven't been to another F1 race anywhere since.
Disney and Star Wars, Liberty and F1...corporate types will trample any storied legacy as long as they get their revenue bonuses.
Been a fan for over 20 year and have only been able to go to one race. The last race in Indy. Since I’m from the US for years it was hard to be able to go at now that I actually have a few races in the US FINALLY and now they are so over priced idk if I’ll ever be able to watch the sport I love ever again and that makes me beyond saddened as a true F1 fan.
For 10;000$ i´d expect to have a drive in one of those cars
...and the inclusion on the grid of DJs and other loud music...I want to see and hear the machines and racing and not DJs etc. That's why I will no longer go to a GP having been tom many in the past.
I'm absolutely sick and tired of the off track antics of F1 this season. I just want to focus on the actual sport rather than the absolute Sh***how that has been this season. Bloody Horner's antics, Red Bull power struggle, Mohammed Ben Sulayem and his antics. FIA investigating itself.....
It's bad enough that any and all scandal this year has been seemingly swept under the rug with nobody being held accountable.
But these ever increasing prices are a joke especially when F1 deny an 11th team on the grid, which obviously has nothing to do with money or profit margin!!
F1 meets Royal Ascot.
Can you imagine paying 10K and also bump into Donald Trump on the grid? What a waste of money
10 seconds of Trumps' time is worth a million times everything you'll ever make in your Life - quintupled - pipe down b0z0 . Briish leaders haven't looked so Churchillian of late 🤡
Im sure he woudnt be happy sitting beside a liberal woke either lol
The Richer they are, the less they pay.. That entry prize is for the "Wanna bee" celebs. They pay for the exposure, and to be close to celebs. The really rich, get paid to come. This is the game F1 has chosen under this management..Toto's plan?
U got a fantasy league, Cam?
The prices are crazy… drivers can’t get in on merit, you can only get into f1 if parents can afford to spend millions on funding. That’s the difference from true sports, where anyone can become a success story.
F1 is semi scripted and no longer a competition. Its an example of greed over foresight. This sport will be dead in 10 years once the netflix shine wears off. Drive to Survive is a passing fad which makes the sport a passing fad as the stories will be played out. With no new teams or anything changing to the current greed and cash grab F1 has become hard to watch. You think it was really RedBull car finally being beaten by other teams or the fact everyone is MEMEíng another Verstappen win.....
Or the fact that the US owning company now faces antitrust lawsuits.... suddenly McLarin (an American recognized racing brand) goes from bottom of the pack to top of the pack...... its sad that the sport which is AMAZING is being killed by greed. Rather than who can make the best car and pair it with the best driver becomes nothing more than a way for selling more energy drinks......
And why does RB get 4 cars and mercedes gets 4 cars. Williams is mostly owned by Mercedes and RB is Redbulls junior team????? I thought F2 was where the Junior teams raced....... but no room for other outfits like Andretti to join because the other 8 teams want more money..... Where is the racing where is the pride, Hell even the grandfather of the sport Mr. Ferrari didnt block other auto companies form competing, they just beat them with better cars..... F1 is in a sad state of affairs and honestly becoming more World Wrestling WWE than a real sport.
I remember hearing all that same arguments under the used car salesman's tenure, It's not new, just boosted to 11 by the Americanisation. Surly no the best work we ever got from Ross Brawn and his posse. In the US your place on the grid is measured in greed!
the day you pop your F1 cherry😱
Oh the humanity
As a PR exercise the £10k might be a good investment.
Get to the million plus numbers Cameron and you might be talking a different game.
Best
The Broker of Brokers.
Theres no such thing as a too much swagger.
greed destroys everything bro. i live in a car park stairwell been here for months, as the rich get richer people are forgotten. THANKS FOR YOUR MILITARY CONTRIBUTION TO UKRAINE SIR 😅 madness
The humanity!! $2500😮
F1 is what the 1% are doing with your money. Its not netflix fault
But hasn't F1 ALWAYS been a sport/culture for rich white European men?
Im gut punched
Have you been sleeping(k) these last years Cameron?? Not knowing(k) about them prizes??? And you name urself 'an F1'expert'?? Not knowing the difference between a paddock'pas and a ticket to watch a GP among the ordinairy people?? Omg, the humanity/or is it humillity..🤭 Can't take you serious anymore, sorry to say. 🙏🏻✌️
I can't take myself seriously anymore either.
But allow me to correct you on one thing however. Expert? This is not something you'll ever hear me call myself. Not ever.
But I digress
@@Cameron-Cc I was sort of 'pulling your leg' Cameron. I thought I gave that away with the '🤭'... Sorry it didn't come across like I entended.. I always love your video's and am taking you serious..or else I wouldn't even watch your channel/video's .. just jokes..4 real. 😉🏎🏁❤️
@@absolutelycarmen love Carmen! I thought you were sending for me!! :)
It's a chaos out here in the youtube comment streets!
I think I only half did that F1 ticket cost video. Think might have to do a part ii later on! Lol.
@@Cameron-Cc Thnxie for being a good sport Cameron! And again sorry it came out the wrong way. Was not my intention. 🫣🤭
And yeah..I get why sometimes things feel less friendly.
Will be looking forward to the 'part II' lolzzzz.. Kidding!! It is absurd..but there are still affordable tickets..without the so called Famous'people'encounters' included. Who wants to meet them anyways if you're a F1 fan. It's about the FP'es..Quali and the Race on Sunday.
Much love from Holland! 😊😉💞
The utmost of bread and circus as the world burns itself down to a crisp. REPENT OF YOUR SINS GET WATER BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST FOR THE REMISSION OF YOUR SINS OBEY THE COMMANDMENTS. THIS ABOVE ALL ELSE IS MOST IMPORTANT. Repent the KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND?? Don’t be consumed by cheap imitations.
Oh the humanity? I have a feeling your F1 history only started? When Mixed race Hamilton become a F1 driver?
Think your a Hamilton fan.... Not a F1 true fan!!
Question? If you put Hamilton, Schumacher and Verstappen in the same car, same set-up, who would be fastest?
Cam was watching when senna was around... b4 LH sir....
@@t8365 can't he answer for himself? Watching senna at Donnington on TV, doesn't give you F1 fan history.
Lol, I’ve never been to an F1 race yet in my life either, @cameronf1
Yet have been to Le Mans for the last 10 runnings!
Why? Value and price.
But according to those brainless CULTLH people, F1 is dying since Lewis is not winning anymore... F1 is booming and in an all time high. You know when F1 was dead? When LH and Merc were dominating the sport.
I've been to a fair few races.. all in Silverstone from 96 to 2019 but never in the paddock. I had a chance to go as a guest of a Sky F1 friend of mine but that didn’t happen in the end, the reasons were a bit unclear but hey ho.. it is what it is. I have to say that all of the times that I've been I thoroughly enjoyed it.. and yes it is pricey.. (food & merch) but I put it down to all part of the experience. When I tried to get a weekend pass for this year, about 10 months ago, most of the grandstand seats were already sold out, such as Copse and Maggots and Hamilton straight. The ones that were available started off at £500 plus..! At that point I decided to leave it for this year and hopefully get my act together even earlier for next season.. so we'll see.
Some other fans I know were saying that travelling to Spa or even Hungaroring worked out cheaper than going to Northampton, so I may decide to do that instead. 😮
The trick: get a job at the GP. Watching F1 and getting paid for it...
Skunk Stripe has to go.
