【4K】秩父巡礼(札所22番)華台山・童子堂【秩父札所34観音霊場】徒歩で巡る

札所１番から３４番まで全ての道程を徒歩で歩きました。
I walked the entire route from Fuda-sho No1 to No34.
現在の観音堂は元禄15年（1702年）に府坂の地に再建され、明治43年（1910年）に現在地に再度移築されました。
茅葺きの仁王門の左右の仁王像は大きな目を見開いていて童子のような表情をしています。
The current Kannon Hall was rebuilt in Fusaka in 1702, and then moved to its current location in 1910.
The Nio statues on either side of the thatched Niomon Gate have their large, wide-open eyes and childlike expressions.
このお堂は旧蒔田村・清水谷の山奥に草創されたと伝えれれています。子どもたちの間に疱疽（天然痘）が流行した際に、観音様を祀って祈念し、岩間より生ずる清水をつけたところ、病がたちどころに消え失せたそうです。延喜年間（901~922年）に府坂の地に移され、以来子どもを病魔から救う観音として童子堂と呼ばれるようになったそうです。
It is said that this temple was founded deep in the mountains of Shimizudani, the former village of Maita. When smallpox was prevalent among children, they enshrined the Kannon Bodhisattva and prayed to it. They then poured pure water from a rock formation on the children, and the illness disappeared instantly. During the Engi era (901-922), it was moved to Fusaka, and since then it has come to be known as Dojido, as the Kannon Bodhisattva who saves children from illness.
今回は札所22番の華台山・童子堂をお参りし、巡礼道を通って札所23番へ向かいました。
