    Many people say that floor has more stage presence than tarja. But tarja has gained a lot since she started her solo career. She learned how to have fun on a stage. Also, I think after living in argentina she changed a lot. Argentine people is so fun and sociable.

      that's true! If you hear her speak in Spanish, she has a Buenos Aires accent. I am from Argentina and she lived many years in the federal capital. her daughter is Argentine and you could see her take her to school with jeans and a T-shirt, talking to everyone. she is very humble. she has many of our customs. When he met Marcelo, he sold CDs in a park and she sat on the grass with him but still did not speak Spanish. I know because my dad bought CDs for him and he always saw Tarja. I hope you have understood my English which is not so good

      She's always had better stage presence to me. Even in her NW days, she'd use the whole stage and interact with bandmates alot. And headbanged a bit. Floor does some head banging, dances in place, generally first move around the stage

    • @Yaspis
      @Yaspis 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yeah -- there's so much to say for Floor, but there's no way to tell if she is enjoying herself on stage, or having fun, or feeling the music. Floor is a PHENOMENAL vocalist and NW could not do better - literally, it is over for them if Tuomas screws up handling yet another singer, once again --- and she's got one hell of a stage presence and massive scope. But Tarja has her own thing going on, and a massive presence too, the kind that curls your toes in the first three front rows... and the "drunken elk" dancing has always been part of the appeal lol

      Growth.
      Even back in the early nightwish days, you could tell this was all there, wanting to come to the surface.
      She did get down like she has demon blood, even if not as much as now.
      I think a duet of Tarja and Floor would actually be waaaay more killer af compared to the separate armies for the 2 suggests

    When she was first fired from Nightwish, I read a lot of fan reactions, and most had the same questions. Can Tarja go on without Nightwish? Can Nightwish go on without Tarja? Both went on to amazing success and that is so wonderful to see.🤘🧡🤘

    I saw in an interview somewhere that she was talking about her fans being open-minded and accepting the fact that her songs are changing so much (at first many expected something close to nightwish, but the real fans were into the changes), talking as one of her fans, I'll listen to Tarja even if she sings country music (that I hate btw hahaha), because, come on, it's Tarja !!!!

    Ever since Tarja was rather unceremoniouosly BOOTED from Nightwish literally right after the concert where the DVD End of an Era was filmed IN THEIR HOMETOWN OF ALL PLACES.... she has gone on to record some of her strongest material of her entire career. She has released several solo albums to date and they're ALL well worth the listen. You're not going to get straight ahead rock or metal all the way through, but definitely epic and evocative music.

    • @sebastienriviere7371
      @sebastienriviere7371 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      In fact, this is based on the Bolero by Maurice Ravel but it is probably an influence for Epica as well.

    • @Dark__Thoughts
      @Dark__Thoughts 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sebastienriviere7371 Bolero sounds more quirky imo. Probably why it often is used in movies during weird slow motion scenes.

    Great stuff
    So this singer got fired from a band.
    Do we know why?

    • @FemaleMetalLover
      @FemaleMetalLover 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      She started to care more about important things in life like health, love, and family and wanted to spread her own wings and go for a solo career where she wouldn't have to be bossed by a man. That man took offence to that, and together with the other guys, fired her in a coordinated, detailed, humiliating manner by handing her a letter after the last show of a world tour, and published it online the next day saying she is fired for those reasons I emphasised above.

    • @Ozzy_2014
      @Ozzy_2014 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is the speculation that the keyboardist was in love with his Married MUSE.

    • @IngenuousSoprano
      @IngenuousSoprano 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Ozzy_2014 Marcelo's mentioned that outright. He says he even met with Tuomas privately to tell him that he (Tuomas) and Tarja will never happen and to accept that he lost his chance to make any move.
      Looking at body language and reading what I can from all three of them, there definitely seems to be something to this. The impression I get is that Tuomas definitely proves the stereotype of the shy composer in a lot of ways. This doesn't help you when your longtime crush/lead singer also tends to be pretty private. He would have had to seek her out and spend time with her, but it's unanimous that she was nearly always on her own the longer her time with the band went on (regardless of the reason). If you're interested in someone (and they're not involved with someone else), you should probably say something while their heart isn't occupied (NW Beauty and the Beast reference for those who haven't heard the first few albums).
      All that said, they all seem to have moved on and that's a good thing.

    If it wasn't for her accent, that would be derivative. Tarja's solo music is solid, but unspectacular.
    Still, it's good to see her solo work be the focus of a reaction - provided it doesn't get blocked.

    • @FemaleMetalLover
      @FemaleMetalLover 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      "unspectacular", i.e. subjective opinion. I am sure Tuomas would be proud to have songs like Undertaker, Love to Hate, and Deliverance under his belt given that they are made of an equal amount of orchestral composition down to the most fragile of details.

And it's hard to understand what the hell she singing. That's why Tuomas is smiling these days, Floor tells the story like he intended to be heard.
