Great video! Thank you for sharing. Now that you have driven around with this camera, what are your thoughts on this unit? What are the pro's and con's?
The camera quality is great and gives a very clear view of the rear of the vehicle especially at night. The display is high quality and easy to operate.
Cons. It is designed to replace the original rear camera and it takes a while to adjust to look at a display vs looking at a reflection. The best view is for the rear camera is for it to be installed on the outside but during rain and snow the view will be affected. Installing on the inside would fix that.
The camera doesn't have parking monitor unless a hardwire kit is installed. GPS is not built in so an antenna will be needed for that feature.
So if you don't connect the wire to the reverse light will the camera work the same, you just have to manually switch it over to reverse view?
The camera will work fine. You can keep the display on the rear camera or switch it manually. The wire switch the display to rear camera and shows some guiding lines
What kind of sd card are you using? I’m using a sandisk extreme plus 128gb and it keeps telling me it can’t be formatted.
Class 10 or higher is required
