I think Simon never likes musicals a lot because that reminds me of my dad because my dad never liked musicals but I bet Simon will get on with my dad
Amazing to see this happening and “the wizard of oz” absolutely changed my childhood .And I still love it so much all the cast members did what just they where meant to do. If I was one of the judges I would have gave this a golden buzzer!

I love how they’re singing and then all of a sudden it stops for a little bit as tin man comes out, and all you hear is his clicking sounds, and then they get back to singing

While I'm mixed on some wardrobe choices (mainly the Lion and Dorothy's hair [I've nothing against afros, it just feels kind of distracting]) and some of the re-orchestrations of the songs, This does look unique. Plus, the more swingy version of _Merry Old Land of Oz_ is nice to listen to.
Absolutely fantastical! Superb cast. Lively, colourful, on pointe. Vocals from singer "Over the Rainbow" amazing. Judy Garland would be so proud. Awesome. Virtual standing ovation being sent from me seat at home!

I must admit as classic as the songs are, I was kinda hoping for a bit of an upgrade on some of the tunes/songs themselves. They just need a bit more pep in 'em.

I agree, actually. It didn’t really excite me or give me any enthusiasm to want to go purchase a ticket and see it.
This makes me want to see their production. As well as this young lady sang, the standard is still Judy Garland's original version. My opinion only. Nice job guys/gals😊😊

Have you ever tried dancing in a costume like his? His singing more than makes up for any dancing issues!
@kathp6689 I have actually performed on stage in costumes thanks. The comment was meant as bit of banter - I think Jason is a great singer. They probably havent had much rehearsal time etc either. Though actually, when at a level like that, for people who will be paying to see a show, sloppy choreo is not acceptable, no matter how big the star or how good the singing.

I'm not sure about jason manford being cast as the lion. He seems out of time and breath. I understand theatre work is challenging but I still don't think he's the right choice

From someone that has an ounce of integrity and respect for other peoples scores and music, even when webber did the first run of this show, he respected the films score and the work that was put into it. This company I dopnt care that your in the uk, YOU CANT CHANGE A SCORE THAT YOU ARE RENTING AND DONT OWN OUTRIGHT. Changing lyrics to if I only had the Nerve and changing if I only had a heart to techno, and then merry old land of Oz to hiphop is wrong, and especially to do this during gay pride month and when gay pride is in the bulk starting in July. This is so wrong you cant do what ever you want to the score and script, also being a part of the Land of Oz community its shameful. And their Dorothy is way too old to be playing a 12 year old little girl hence what Dorothy is in the books and the MGM film. It sounds and looks like a high school production and not a professional Andrew Loyd Webber musical.
