  • The Kawasaki Vulcan Classic is a real departure from the typical Kawasaki motorcycle. In this video I discuss how Kawasaki has gone out to it's way to avoid doing what they do in the rest of their line-up in order to make a great cruiser! Check out this video to see if the Vulcan Classic is right for you, or connect with the amazing team at Jim Gilbert's Wheels and Deals to see this bike for yourself! powersports.wh...

I owned this bike before the 900 cc cruiser. It was a great bike to own and to ride, no doubt about it. The only littlest beef I had with it was that 1)> the engine can get extremely hot 🥵 and you can feel it , mostly when or if you ever ride it on a hot humid day at a red light. On cooler days it better. 2))> >Also, after riding about 100 miles, you start to feel a bit uncomfortable at the seat. My lower back or tail bone at my butt would start to act up a bit. 3)))>>> I kinda wish the tank would hold more gasoline ⛽️ capacity or that it would take me more father before refueling again. 4)))) >>>> I wish that this bike was 6 speed.( Those 4 minor complaints are my beef ) but to tell you the truth, this bike is still worth it!!! , the price, the looks, the style, the sound, the feel, the experience etc. is Awesome! This bike and myself became as one, in time you will feel synchronized with it, it’s fast, smooth, stable, easy to handle. , it’s a bit heavy, but when you’re riding it , you don’t feel it because all that weight is centered and low. This bike also will hold its value for the money, if you ever wanted to sell it used, it’s guaranteed, this bike is one of the most popular bikes around. Try it, you’ll love it. I’m 65 years old, 5’7 and 220 pounds I hope that my comment here helped a lot of riders to make the right decision for this bike. Keep on keeping on! 😎✌️

Well thank you for your comment. I am the same as you but 72 years old and looking for my last motorcycle. More than likely. I am a cruiser guy and have had two Harleys but I don't have any money anymore. I'm wondering how this is so much cheaper than the Harley-Davidson heritage classic? I need to see one in person. I'm wondering how they cut costs and I'm pretty sure it's with plastic. 😏

My old 2010 Vulcan Custom Special suits me .
The 900 power plant is a well proven under strained unit .
With regular oil and filter change these plodders are great bikes if you dont want super performance but reliable comfortable rides.
Specially for those of us who just want a simple pure old school analogue bike void of electronic gadgets and assistance.

I bought the 2022 Classic exactly like the one you have in the video. It's been a process of really getting used to it. I'm a new rider and I'm 5'10" 195 LBS. I think this bike is a bit heavy for a new rider my size. There are a lot of things I like about this bike but it's been hard to keep up because when I take it above 55-65 I can really feel a lot of buzz and vibration so I can't keep up with some of my friends who have crotch rockets or other bikes so I tend to hang way back and let traffic pass me. When they say this is a cruiser they mean it. This really isn't a freeway bike. This is a back roads kind of bike. I also find it hard to ride downtown in tight spots because for me it's just a bit heavy. I really wish it had a 6th gear and they didn't have the neutral finder on the back kick of the shifter. I'll be selling this one to get a smaller bike. I like the cruiser style so I think I'll research the Vulcan S a bit more. Great video great bike just not for me.

Hi Peter, I have a 2023 Vulcan S, but I am considering trading up for the 900 classic LT. I'm glad you reviewed this bike outside so we could hear the engine, which sounds great. I plan on retiring in a few years and taking some road trips. I am also considering the Versys 650 or 1000. I know you're a Versys guy, but I can't decide yet. I never had a cruiser before the Vulcan S, I always had sport tourers. I'd like to be able to sit on or even test ride each bike to help me choose. I live on Long Island, NY, so I can't rent or test ride any bikes. Does Jim Gilbert's Wheels and Deals offer any way for me to try these bikes?

Great question. Kawasaki doesn't offer one in their accessories, but with a belt drive instead of a chain, I would guess there's not a lot of demand for one as there's no chain maintenance requirement, which is one of the key selling features of a centre stand. That may not be why you want one, but I think it may be why you don't see one from Kawasaki.
