I'm so happy that a TH-cam Reactor like you has actually come out with an objective analysis and authentic review of the song, instead of most of the lazy reactions that I have been seeing all over the TH-cam -- just blindly hyping up this song to be super amazing and nothing else. @@daisiesx96of course, but sometimes bloggers don't want to offend fans with their opinion, so they can continue get followings from the kpop community and specific groups in particular. In my country there were revealed 3 cases when bloggers honestly didn't really like what they do and said awful things about kpop, while in reactions they always hype and smile. So yeah, it depends from blogger, but I really understand what first comment mean and you also said true thing, they like complimentary, not mutually excludes

I really really hope that they get a song that really deserve them - Aaron . I agree BM are all-rounder. I hope that for their next comeback YG will showcase their potential and their pure talents. I completely agree with Aaron's statement. Moreover, I would like to add that there is an abundance of talent within the group, and we are all aware of their potential. However, by setting such high expectations for a teenager, we are only hindering their growth. Let's take a step back and relax, as this is just the beginning. The music they create is often three minutes or longer, which is not enough to showcase all their talent. We must accept this fact and wait for their solo performances if we truly want to witness their full potential individually.
Basically YG recycling sounds, music, concept and style. They are just stuck in time, i don't know why it is so difficult for YG to expand and try some new things, new music styles, even hiphop has different styles and concepts. This is basically the same song as any other YG title track by treasure, blackpink, 2EN1, etc. Even the set and music video, is just... copy and paste all over again and again and again...
2NE1 had different songs from this signature Blackpink/Treasure/now Babymonster sound... Their songs actually.had full choruses, changes in structure between one and the other.. And even IATB's chorus was full of energy, unlike these newer releases. If anything, it seems YG wants to replicate Bang Bang Bang again and again

I agree with all your comments. But I think YG is taking the approach of "don't fix what isn't broken." When they are breaking TH-cam records and hitting #1 in 21 markets, they won't change their way. As a YG Stan, I loved the song but also noticed that they are not really being noticed in Korea for the same reasons you mentioned. Hopefully, they can balance it out for future concepts,songs.
No, TH-cam views has nothing to do with the Charts btw.. This Mv has many views but it didn't chart well at all, on the other hand (for example) Taeyeon's To X doesn't have many views on YT but it's topping all the charts

Sorry, but this was not a great debut. The song is completely mediocre. Hip hop can be done in several ways, but the way it was done was too basic and follows the same tired yg formula. Yg needs to switch it up if they're gonna be able to compete with the other groups that are out now.
Honestly, it's a very solid debut but I wished it's something new. But I won't judge too soon, this is just their debut and I hope that in their next activities, they would find a sound that is new and unique and suits BAEMON.
I couldn’t agree with you more and felt much the same as I watched their debut. The song, choreo, and concept are not bad per se, but the fact of the matter is we’re now clued into how immensely talented these girls are and they deserved better. I’m probably gonna catch flack for this but it’s basically an ‘insert BP here’ situation. I am so impressed with these girls and just think they deserved better. All that said, the song is catchy and the choreo is cool and I enjoy it but I just wanted more for them.

I agree with your opinion. I would have loved to hear something a bit more lyrical, but I understand that this type of song is supposed to be a "hype" song and therefore the chorus feels pretty empty. The best part was Asa's rap. Hopefully YG will read comments and readjust the next couple of releases to showcase more of what the fans are looking for. The more I listen to the song, the catchier it gets. It's an okay song, pretty cookie cutter, nothing that blows your mind. It was a very safe song to debut with. I'd love to see more risks taken - these girls have so much potential!

Next on the top 2023 hit list is IVE, I am at 203 million. Baby Monster has 200 million in its sights and then to take down the 2023 kpop top 5.
I really fell in love with Chiquita, Pharita and ASA. They really stand's out for me. Now about the music... The song it's not bad, but is not enough for a debut. It's the YG formula, the most generic one. We actually knew what the next verse would sounds. I not a hater, I feel in love with them before the debut and I'm really sad about this song. I mean, the girls delivered their best. They are not the problem here. We know the girls are talented af. What I'm really trying to say is: the song doesn't make justice for all the things these girls can REALLY do. Btw, Ahyeon's situation is really off for me. The YG not even wait for her, so she could debut with her sisters. It's very sus... After all, all this is truly bad for BM, they just debuted. And even worse for YG. And don't get me started to talk about BP negociations. Cause I really hope the girls jump off and focus in their solo's careers.
This song is so similar. The legacy of Blackpink in the past. But now it's debut. The types of debut songs that can be made are limited. No experimental stuff. They should go steady. As they progress, they will look at the reactions and discover their own musical characteristics. These talented members are actually talented people who can handle anything you give them. There is nothing to worry about.
i am convinced this is all a twisted marketing strategy to build up hype for blackpink’s contract renewal and for babymonsters comeback where they’ll actually showcase their unique sound. YG marketing is crazy and twisted. there’s no way every producer in that building heard this song and thought “this definitely doesn’t sound like a blackpink reject song and will capture everyone’s attention because it’s something new and never seen before and definitely won’t resemble blackpink” they’ve got something under their sleeves
My biases are Chiquita, Rami, and Rora most def ❤️❤️ I love them all though, all so talented and I loved the song but I know that they can handle a song with more talent required. They are all so capable of greatness ❤️

probably one of your better reactions ;) IT matters that you were vested coming off the time spent from the introductions and last evaluations. SEEN a few less positive or lazy reactions from those that did NOT invest the time...they get a thumbs down when all they can say is YG/BP and do something different. BUT coming from you and seen your time spent...it hits different as WE all kinda had those same concerns about there being a enough material for 7 girls (yes one is missing, but will exacerbate it WHEN, she comes back). Yep, music video was basically recycling the sets of other YG artists and the song itself gets better only at the end. Overall the girls are very talented, vocally they don’t even look like a group that was trained by YG + the 2 rappers (Asa and Ruka) are incredible and they will only get better with time. Great stage presence and average dancing skills (rami and ruka are the one that impressed me the most), they truly are baby monsters ahahah
I think the problem with this debut of BAEMON is that YG made the audience expect way too high from the girls. Their talents and visuals are all shown to the public, and they are also the last piece of the whole picture of 4th gen girl groups, so all of us anticipated an epic and explosive debut. But the reality is a let down. Not gonna lie, their talents carry this whole lazy production. It's full of YG style, but can't help people figure out what the true color of BAEMON is.
The song is good, considering it's just a single for (debut), they did everything in this, but it's just a beginning of their career and AHYEON is still not in this I think this is just their INTRO OF WHAT THEY CAN DO, of course you don't wanna gave it all in the first song right you need to do a BUILD UP. At least at my point of view haha. There will be no promotion (music shows) in this debut I think mainly because AHYEON baby is still not in this, and I heard they are already preparing for their next song and that AHYEON will join them there. I think that's the time they'll promote when AHYEON is present and they'll give us SOMETHING MORE. Hooray🎉 did it make sense sorry I'm not good in explaining😅
These girls deserved better... they deserve the type of concept and music XG does, with amazing vocals and dancing, and rap too. R&B and even ballads with raps. Something experimental and totally different that could differentiate them from the rest like NewJeans did, like IVE did, like Red Velvet did, like aespa did....
I agree a lot that they were more talented than it shows in this video. That program showed thier abilities, and when i was watching it i was truly sure that they are one of the most talented of idols existing now, but with this single? i totally felt the oppsite. Not even mentioning that ahyoen is not with them, i mean they could do the comback with her when she gets better as they already delayed with the debut, if she were thier with them at least something will be right about them.. Anyway looking forward ro thier album & to see ahyoen with them.

im beyond ok for this first song surrounding with troubles of the company as well as missing of Ahyone who is very talent and all-rounder member of the group. I guess there were many changing behind before debut day. So, I treat this song as a good starting with good standard of YG's song and the result is very satisfied! Baby monster - batter up. Same agency as black pink- world biggest girl group so basically they got no problem with resource since they are from one of the biggest agency out there.. Baby monster also broke records for a debut within 24 hrs. 22 million views within 24 hr mark. The previous record holder was at 21 million views at 24 hr. They will become the next biggest girl group very soon since they having these kinds of views within 24 hr . 7 member group but only 6 debuted due to the so call most popular one ahyeon is out due to person health reasons.

I feel many agreed with this being like typical YG, not that it's bad cause it's not but honestly I feel like my main problem with this is the baseball concept in this MV, I just found it so random. Like they could have gone for the monster concept and made it more memorable. My favorite part is definitely Asa's rap section, I have been repeating that for days lol

The debut is not great. YG style + girl crush concept is my fav type of songs in k-pop. And that's okay if they wanted to show respect to BP, 2nei and YG and others, but that's too much here about other groups than about them. I was hoping for something new and young but not without old things. This song and mv just the old stuff and new here is only the girls. This is disappointing and i hope they will found only their way, these girls are so talented.
I think it was ok. They still have to find there form. There are some great parts in it and I think if they had left out the last "up beat" part the song would have felt better to me. But it's YG and YG him self was part of the production, so I'm not chocked about the ending. Anyway, one member is missing (maybe?) so let's see what will happen at next release. I liked it enough to have listened to it many times already. I see the potential for next release :)
If your a yg stan for a decade you can love that song and I really like the song, because every yg song are all the same and that's how they show to the fans the real yg. But if you not like the song then it's up to you and also it's the first song maybe next time they will give us a good song
You know honestly, at firt listen, it wasn't really catchy to me, i was like omg im so disappointed, I didn't like it. But I didn't leave a comment like that for the sake of baemon 😭 i wanna try and listen to it kre to be able to feel the song and actually like it and appreciate the girls' effort and for everyone who came up with the song and concept. But, as i listen to it more and more, i grew on liking it. I am literally obsessed with their debut right now and i think im gonna Stan them. I would have loved to hear something a bit more lyrical, but I understand that this type of song is supposed to be a "hype" song and therefore the chorus feels pretty empty. The best part was Asa's rap. Hopefully YG will read comments and readjust the next couple of releases to showcase more of what the fans are looking for. The more I listen to the song, the catchier it gets. It's an okay song, pretty cookie cutter, nothing that blows your mind. It was a very safe song to debut with. I'd love to see more risks taken - these girls have so much potential!

Now about the music... The song it's not bad, but is not enough for a debut.
It's the YG formula, the most generic one. We actually knew what the next verse would sounds.

i am convinced this is all a twisted marketing strategy to build up hype for blackpink’s contract renewal and for babymonsters comeback where they’ll actually showcase their unique sound. YG marketing is crazy and twisted. there’s no way every producer in that building heard this song and thought “this definitely doesn’t sound like a blackpink reject song and will capture everyone’s attention because it’s something new and never seen before and definitely won’t resemble blackpink” they’ve got something under their sleeves

Yep, music video was basically recycling the sets of other YG artists and the song itself gets better only at the end. Overall the girls are very talented, vocally they don’t even look like a group that was trained by YG + the 2 rappers (Asa and Ruka) are incredible and they will only get better with time. Great stage presence and average dancing skills (rami and ruka are the one that impressed me the most), they truly are baby monsters ahahah

I think the problem with this debut of BAEMON is that YG made the audience expect way too high from the girls. Their talents and visuals are all shown to the public, and they are also the last piece of the whole picture of 4th gen girl groups, so all of us anticipated an epic and explosive debut. But the reality is a let down. Not gonna lie, their talents carry this whole lazy production. It's full of YG style, but can't help people figure out what the true color of BAEMON is.
The song is good, considering it's just a single for (debut), they did everything in this, but it's just a beginning of their career and AHYEON is still not in this I think this is just their INTRO OF WHAT THEY CAN DO, of course you don't wanna gave it all in the first song right you need to do a BUILD UP. At least at my point of view haha. There will be no promotion (music shows) in this debut I think mainly because AHYEON baby is still not in this, and I heard they are already preparing for their next song and that AHYEON will join them there. I think that's the time they'll promote when AHYEON is present and they'll give us SOMETHING MORE.

These girls deserved better... they deserve the type of concept and music XG does, with amazing vocals and dancing, and rap too. R&B and even ballads with raps. Something experimental and totally different that could differentiate them from the rest like NewJeans did, like IVE did, like Red Velvet did, like aespa did....

I agree a lot that they were more talented than it shows in this video. That program showed thier abilities, and when i was watching it i was truly sure that they are one of the most talented of idols existing now, but with this single? i totally felt the oppsite. Not even mentioning that ahyoen is not with them, i mean they could do the comback with her when she gets better as they already delayed with the debut, if she were thier with them at least something will be right about them.. Anyway looking forward ro thier album & to see ahyoen with them.

I guess there were many changing behind before debut day. So, I treat this song as a good starting with good standard of YG's song and the result is very satisfied! Baby monster - batter up. Same agency as black pink- world biggest girl group so basically they got no problem with resource since they are from one of the biggest agency out there.. Baby monster also broke records for a debut within 24 hrs. 22 million views within 24 hr mark. The previous record holder was at 21 million views at 24 hr. They will become the next biggest girl group very soon since they having these kinds of views within 24 hr . 7 member group but only 6 debuted due to the so call most popular one ahyeon is out due to person health reasons.

The debut is not great. YG style + girl crush concept is my fav type of songs in k-pop. And that's okay if they wanted to show respect to BP, 2nei and YG and others, but that's too much here about other groups than about them. I was hoping for something new and young but not without old things. This song and mv just the old stuff and new here is only the girls. This is disappointing and i hope they will found only their way, these girls are so talented.

I think it was ok. They still have to find there form. There are some great parts in it and I think if they had left out the last "up beat" part the song would have felt better to me. But it's YG and YG him self was part of the production, so I'm not chocked about the ending. Anyway, one member is missing (maybe?) so let's see what will happen at next release. I liked it enough to have listened to it many times already. I see the potential for next release :)

You know honestly, at firt listen, it wasn't really catchy to me, i was like omg im so disappointed, I didn't like it.
