Before watching this interview i liked Ms. King and her amazing body of work. Now I love Ms. King for her for her amazing heart full of love and compassion for us all. God bless her , continued success and please please stay safe
Thank you Queen Regina, for creating this film! Thank you for bringing the world to our home community of Leimert Park! Thank you for doing your interview in my favorite bookstore ESO WON Books! Thank you for walking down Degnan! You are a Leimert Park Daughter! You are Truly Royal!
I have loved this woman since I first saw her in Poetic Justice when I was a kid. I have followed her career, including retroactively, ever since. She is stunning. She is amazing. She was so infuriating overlooked for so long. I'm so happy for her MUCH deserved success Ava recognition. It's taken way too long.
What an amazing career she's had as an actor and now she's pivoting to directing and her debut is the adaptation of an outstanding work of theater. She may not win awards for directing this go 'round but she surely will at some point in the future.
I like the fact that Regina King put motherhood over career so she could be with her son. The late, great Phoebe Snow did the same thing for her daughter. Both of these ladies are brilliant artists, and their amazing talents will always keep them relevant and in demand forever.
Interesting Phoebe Snow story: on the night of the July 1977 blackout in NYC, I was at the New School to attend a kind of lecture ny Phoebe about the music biz...she was very compelling as a speaker ( and I loved her singing) so near the end of her talk the lights went out, we all thought it was just the building ut it was the whole city...I ended up walking from the village over the Brooklyn Bridge to get home.
Loved the movie One Night In Miami !❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ so many talented actors! And the voice of Leslie Oldham, so amazing!❤❤❤❤❤I honestly have to say I haven’t enjoyed a dramatic movie this much in a long time! Keep them coming you guys!
Gina you make me smile even when you are disgruntled about a subject matter, as it shows a person character. It's shows Regina Rene King. Her height and depth in Character. WE DID IT. that makes it worthwhile. When the King of Kings and Lord of Lords reign.
Thank you CBS Sunday Morning for giving a multi-layered look at one of the best contemporary artists. Over the last year or so, this show’s profiles provide little context , don’t dig very deep, and don’t answer questions. For example, the story on Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis was a press release come to life. I was delighted with Regina King’s story.
There are people in this world although you have never met them and you probably will never meet them, you like them. Since her 227 days, I have always liked Regina King.
shes such an inspiration. really good energy i would love to work for her. she seems insightful, intuitive and sensitive. this might be a weird comment but i would love to be in her company and just talk to her about life
Hello, I wanted to share that I think bringing up the topic of race, especially to Regina in this interview, is about sharing perspectives and stories. At one point in the interview she said if we become complacent and do not engage in conversations about injustices, they persist. It is clear that there’s still injustice and racism in this country. Regina is sharing this film as a way of communicating that black stories are also American stories. I think it’s insensitive to completely disregard what she is trying to achieve in this interview and with her new film. Just wanted to share my perspective in response to your comment, have a great day.
@@shelbymoch1812 I can respect your opinion and maybe I did write my comment in haste. In my experience, whenever I turn on the TV, all I hear from black people(not all....I stand corrected) is race, race, race. How is something ever going to die when so many choose to keep it alive? I can see your point though and it has made me think. So thank you. You have a great day as well.
If conversations about race makes you uncomfortable or mad then you are the problem. Let people live and tell their stories and how color impacts their stories.
@@misse0077 ignoring it doesn’t make it go away, having discussions about it does, did MLK ignore it? Did Rosa parks ignore it? They spoke about and made a positive difference in the world
A wonderful actress and person! Keep them coming Ms. King!
Regina is so talented. I grew up watching her. She is a great example that you don't have to sell your soul and body to make it in Hollywood.
Before watching this interview i liked Ms. King and her amazing body of work. Now I love Ms. King for her for her amazing heart full of love and compassion for us all. God bless her , continued success and please please stay safe
My favorite line, “I would like to witness the change.” Wouldn’t that be a wonderful legacy to leave our grandkids.
It's awesome to see Ms. King still succeeding after three decades in the business.
The lives of child stars/actors don't have to end up tragically.
Regina King's first Sunday Morning profile. Amazing!!!
You can even tell that the host was excited to present it!
You felt the soul of the world…Beautiful!❤️🦋

She such a good God fearing woman. Now her son gone everything she Sacrificed for.🙄😪
I LOOOOVE this woman. Period.
Easy to love if your easy to understand.
Ali’s pool scene was done three years earlier.
Oh yeah, and she has, BY FAR, the absolute BEST eye roll game I have EVER seen. Lol.
Regina King is great too.
She’s 50? She aged well. Damn!
How do have a child later in life and your son still looks older than you???
I hope my wife looks as good as Regina when she turns 40 if not I’m going to trade her in for two 20 year olds
Omg.....can ANY black person be on tv WITHOUT bringing up race??? NOPE🙄
@Mr totally. If racism is ever going to end, ALL ethnicities need to have the same rules. And clearly we don't....and never will.

When Regina King said that She “Doesn’t Want to fail the legacy of these men”, What She mean by that??
