It's an awesome little game, worth all the money, feels like a mix of Tarkov, S.T.A.L.K.E.R and Hotline Miami to me. On top of that it's SINGLEPLAYER which is a Plus these days.
I think that it has potential, and I hope we see a lot of updates. It was kind of a bummer to see after paying for the full game that not much had changed from the demo
The AI is absolutely brutal. They do wide flanks, rush, take cover, zig and zag. It's amazing. Melee enemies will run away and hide behind cover to force you to move in close so they can lunge at you. The game is fantastic so far, I broke 50 hours today. I've got a bit of a problem.
Couldn't be me looking at this with over 200 hours. If you got a bit of a problem, I dont even want to know what I've got. Definitely looking forward to hardcore mode coming out in the future.
Really hope this game blows up and the developer gets more funds to expand the game. Super addicted to it right now, but wishing for some qol features like inventory sorting and more quests
Been playing since the demo. Put in over 25 hours and reached the current end game. It's fun. Gets really easy at the end, but it's still fun. Looking forward to the game growing.
Actually, I really like the art-design of the game. I have a soft spot for good pixel art, and this one is really pleasant to look at. It is also on the more detailed side of pixel art graphics.
got totally addicted by the game. My only big concern at the moment is the loot. You can get literally everything you need in the forest. I wish you could get more high tier loot from the other (harder) maps.
I just got done with the few introductory quests and got like 10 to do now... I also unlocked the shooting range as my first module... im just scratching the surface and I need MORE of it. This game is a definite banger.
After playing this game for more than 40hrs I would say it is 100% worth it even thou it's still in a very early access... Good thing the dev is constantly updating it, fixing bugs and there is a lot of content to come in the near future. The game is brutal and does take a while to get the hang of it but it's amazing and really imersive!
i love this game. already have 30 hours in game and just finished my first save (completed all missions) and im already looking forward to starting a new save
@@MrAtomicDuck yes i mainly focused on quests but i had my fun just raiding and looting the maps, now on the second save i will just enjoy the gameplay and take my time
Stalker zomboid tarkov hybrid. I bought it on the 15th. I've 64 hours in game so far. A tip Don't get on ANY of the factions bad sides aside from bandits. The crimson guys have the best backpack I've ever seen And the scar which is one of the best guns in game Plus it's less people shooting at you on sight Hunters, and bandits still will- (plus this guy who's name starts with a) but the army guys, crimson dudes and scientists will make your life hell if you cross them. Where as if you remain neutral they can take out big enemies with you that you couldn't do otherwise helping you advance. I had to completely restart because I went in guns blazing on every situation and at first was successful but over time everytime I deployed I died quickly running into groups of scientists, crimson, or green army guys. People groups you can approach and loot around safely..ish normally turned into a nightmare of hell fire and 10 hours of game play were lost. It's a very challenging game I'd say not as hard as zombiod but only because right now when you die in sievert it's like forcing you to restart with a random map but with the same gear you had to start. Whereas zombioid you die, it's over. You're dead.
Thank you sooooo much for keeping most of the progression and interesting parts of the game hidden! I’ve seen so many reviewers that just spoil the storyline and such at the start and it makes me so happy I can finally get a taste of a game without spoilers! (Again thank you!)

I love the traction Stalker is getting as of recent. Stalcraft comes out in 2 weeks, and Zero Sievert is a great game too. I knew I want it the moment I saw it on Steam before it got released, then I played Demo and it confirmed it all for me... and for early access release it got even better. It is rough around some edges, but it's to be expected from an indie game just released to Early Access - but none of these rough edges were detrimental to my enjoyment. One of the "hidden" gems of 2022, that's for sure.
Good review, thanks for your thoughts. I had to choose between this and Cosmoteer this week and ended up going with the latter, which I would also recommend.
Having a lot more fun in this game then I had in a long time in any of the big triple A games lately 🥰 and hope it will only get better along the way 😁
I never thought STALKER would slowly rise in popularity for 20 years. At least I finally get a proper sequel. Back in 2007, I was just wondering why my friends would rather play Halo. Then they all started playing Fallout 3 and I was like, c'mon guys

I am interested by this game at first look yesterday, and im wondering is it worth that price, and after seeing this video im pretty sure it worth it, gonna buy it now 👍
As a fan of stalker and gungeon, I figured that this game would be an instant hit for me. I just didn't like it. I spent a few hours in it and just could never manage to get into it. Maybe it was because it is so unfinished right now it it's early access state. Maybe it will be better in a couple years. But I ended up buying it and then refunding it on steam. It wasn't for me, for now.
Same, same, loved Stalker and this doesn't hit any of my buttons. I tried and tried and just can't. I had to refund within the 2-hour window because it just wasn't for me.
Decent game but I would love to see the addition of dropping gear on death instead of just reloading the save before you entered the area you were in. I need some real gear fear involved to really pull me in. Im not going to refund since I have High hopes for hardcore mode but Definitely needing a little more feeling like I NEED TO GET OUT ALIVE!
I was so psyched for this game until I found out it wasn't multiplayer :( As an FPS player a 2d pixel tactical tarkov would be amazing. Not that the execution and polish of the actual single player game doesn't also look top tier anyway, though.
I love this game but the one thing I'd say actually hurts it is the procedural generation. Don't get me wrong it definitely adds an extra dynamic but Ive yet to see anything that's big in scope in the game regarding building/camp wise, it's all just small areas that are easy to clear and then move along. There's no "I need to get this gear to take on this settlement" and I think that's quite the shame. Maybe in the future as this game is definitely worth picking up, but it kind of kills the whole loot tiers for me. Yes you need higher tier to deal with certain enemies in much cleaner fashion but it's not a necessity, and high tier enemies can still be easily handled with mid tier loot. Just a shame in what's overall a remarkable game.
everytime i see a stalker clone people always say its "tarkov like" not knowing that tarkov ripped stalker, i think you should play stalker anomaly atleast and you will see that this game is actually based on stalker instead of tarkov
He wants 25 Canadian plus our stupid HST and that is too much for me. I paid 29.99 for ARK, 21.99 for Grounded. 19.99 for Ghost Recon Breakpoint. This price point needs to be balanced better.
Load? You mean when you find objects? That's a design feature, just meant to simulate you rummaging through boxes and finding stuff gradually. Happens in most looter-shooters.
Its great fun but sadly lacking in content. After 20 hours id done everything. Still great to pick up and do a quick hunt when I've got 20 minutes spare and don't want to get into anything to serious. The combat is tense and interesting, the enemy AI is very ok for the most part, with some stand out for bosses and animals. The thing that bothers me and actually undermines it is how hard it tries to knock off tarkov. The city is called zarkov, the bosses are straight rip offs, Killa gets changed to Kibba, this just makes the game feel like a cut price knock off, which there was no need for as the game has hella merit and charm in its own right :/
Thank you for the feedback! I haven't got to the point I've fought any bosses yet, but it's a shame to see that's happened. I'd have much preferred some unique bosses. With regards to the time you put in, did you focus on tasks the whole time would you say? I'm just looking to find out a rough average of how much play-time it'll give someone :)
@@MrAtomicDuck So for me I did put like 10 hours into the demo so i knew going in what i should be doing. First thing i did was focus my base up, once you do this you can craft ammo and repair your gear, which actually makes alot of the tasks far more effort then they are worth. Because of this i kinda avoided the non essential missions for the first 15 hours. The story missions are REALLY cool and some great set pieces in there! However most of the missions are just fetch quests, now im abit of a hoarder of games like this so when i bothered to do them it was a case of starting the mission and it was already complete due to my stockpiles. In terms of raw game play time, i think ive got like 28 hours total on my save. That being said I have started a second play through with the challenge of only wearing the santa costume so im still going to get alot more hours out of it. Start to end if you try hard enough i think its a 10 hour game (in its current state)
Idk man. I always look at the price of games based on how many hours I can get out of it. You'd easily blow $12 on a movie ticket, right? For games like this, if I can get 30 hours of enjoyment out of it, that's $1.50 an hour and I'd be happy with that. You can get in excess of 30 hours with this game, I'd say, easy.
@@MrAtomicDuck Still, for a single player indie title, I think $20 is a bit too much. Maybe they'll add something in the future to make the price worth it, but until then, my opinion will (probably) stay the same. I only have about 20 hours into the game so far, it's been one hell of a time tho!
If you extract so quickly and nothing chases you or hinders your escape how is this an extraction game?? Having map exits with short timers does not make an extraction game, the difficulty extracting does!
"this video was not sponsored" comma, "i was given a key by the devs to try it out" now you rhyme those 2 together as if it is nothing but in my book that is still a form of sponsoring. otherwise you'd be down 18 more bucks.
Sponsored specifically involves the handover of financial payment in exchange for completing some form of content. Games like this shoot out thousands of keys to content creators, but we're not obligated to make any content unless we choose to. I'm not trying to be "well actually" with you, but there's a difference between receiving a substantial payment to cover a game, with required talking points, required length of content, etc. and being tossed a key as part of a mass distribution.
What do you think to ZERO Sievert? Let me know!

Start to end if you try hard enough i think its a 10 hour game (in its current state)
My computer is getting pretty old, this game is perfect for me.
Is it a good game? Yes. Is it worth $20? Fuck no. If it was $5, or even $10, I'd give it a 5 star review, but the price is overdoing it.
Sounds cool but might check it out
Enjoy it if ya do!
is this game have multiplayer ?
Solo only! I'd like to see them add co-op in the future maybe, but it's very clear it's a PvE focused game.
It's Like Stalker and Tarkov have baby
Looks interesting
Glad I could introduce you!
Seems like a cool game.
It is!
Addictive 🤣
Definitely accurate lol
Give it co-op and perfect
Anyone know how to level gun smithing?
I believe this is unlocked later from what I've been hearing?
Books earned through missions and found on hunts
The game looks ace, such a shame it's singleplayer though
I'd like to see co-op, but I like that it's not PvP personally!
@@MrAtomicDuck yeah? I guess there is tons of other games like that around! I’d love t try zomboid pvp but don’t have anyone to play with on it :D
subbed for the cute bb duck
Appreciate you
Omg please tell me I can play this on my steam deck!!
you can, but there isn't an official controller layout, and as usual for community layouts, they aren't all that great.
"this video was not sponsored" comma, "i was given a key by the devs to try it out"
now you rhyme those 2 together as if it is nothing but in my book that is still a form of sponsoring. otherwise you'd be down 18 more bucks.
Weird how someone who didn't buy the game tells us if we should buy it or not.
its a stalker game based
it wasn't sponsored but I did receive a key from the devs lol
Pretty standard practice for game reviews. Sponsors are worth MUCH more than a game key. $15 isn't gonna sway my opinion either way.
