Thank you so much for this video! It makes me feel a lot more prepared for an upcoming partner interview for one of the Big 4. Regarding your last point about asking the partner questions, in what situations do you think would be suitable to ask something during the interview?
So glad to hear that! Just make sure you’re relaxed and honest in your answers and you’ll be great 😁 I think you should be able to tell from the ‘vibe’ of the interview, if it feels like a more informal chat that definitely ask if you think it’s appropriate. But if more formal then just wait until the end😊. Good luck!!
@@BeccaandSoph Just coming back to say that I got an offer!! Had my partner interview and I received a verbal offer and contract the next day! Really appreciate this as the "interview" with the partner was so much more conversational and we simply had a great chat :)) Your tips really helped me out so thank you again!!
I just had a question; if you were told a situation for example you ve heard an unethical convo..... and then they asked you how'd you react . How would you answer these kinds of questions. I always struggle on them.
It depends what the situation is, but I often find with these questions in interviews they are wanting you to present both sides of the argument. I.e. if something is against the law / fraudulent they’ll often want you to report it (to who depends on the scenario). But equally it would be good to mention that you may have overheard incorrectly and out of context so therefore may have gotten the situation wrong. I think the key is to just take some time (even just 10-30 seconds) to plan your answer in your head before you start talking and make sure you hit your key points ☺️
@@BeccaandSoph That’s nice to know. I may have completely slipped up one question during the partner interview. Otherwise, it went quite well. Note sure if this will impact my application negatively. Hoping for the best 😁
Hiya I’m on my last year doing accounting and finance and I’m finding it quite hard finding jobs because they want experience! Any tips for this? Appreciate the videos!
Hey, thanks for your comment! Yes I agree with Chris, demonstrating other ways 😁 there’s also video on how to get ahead which may have more tips: th-cam.com/video/cGtDdkInT2k/w-d-xo.html There are lots of places for virtual work experience too such as the Bright Network 😁

@@BeccaandSoph yeah I will but it's deffo harder when you are being pressured 🤣
Completely agree - I think the key is to stay calm and just be yourself! Best of luck 😁
Thanks!
Has any one been declined an offer after the Partner interview, even though you nailed it at the initial interviews?
No one that I know personally ☺️ in assessment centres they usually consider the different tasks as a collective

I wouldn’t stress, they sometimes take a while to get back to you anyway dependant on how many applicants they’ve interviewed etc. Best of luck!
@@BeccaandSoph Thank you! Will update how it goes. 😊
