In the Filipino Culture, after the children are finished with their studies they take over the responsibility of their parents so that their parents could rest and enjoy life.
You can't teach morals or virtues to your children if you're not around. Wise words.

You’re right mother..Filipino is so Family Oriented…We do care for our elders, and we have this thing to respect our family kins…even to 3rd or 4th generation…We always want our elderly to stay with us to care for them till their last breath…In that way we showed them our respect, love and to show our whole heart to say Thank you..By caring them the way they took care of us..Is a bliss…

When you asked if SB19 have Eng songs the 1st song that popped into mind was I WANT YOU with their choreo haha, but I think WYAT would be a better introduction to their Eng songs. The thing with traveling abroad to work that makes it easier for Filipinos is that we normally don’t grow up in nuclear families. Our extended families grow up together - aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, etc. They are deeply connected with us growing up since there’s no such thing as kicking your kids out at 18 in our culture. So, even with our parents gone, we are still often raised by and around those people who raised us. And the values of caring for your elders, respect, compassion, and familial duty that’s so important in our culture gets passed on nonetheless. Kids whose parents go abroad and are able to live comfortable lives because of it end up giving back to the family one way or another, not just their parents but the extended family who raised them. It’s tough to understand maybe for Americans or any other cultures that values independence, but familial co-dependence is valued and it’s what makes our families able to travel for work. 😊

That is correct. Just like mom said here, you find ways to cope, or you find others to learn from as a father figure. Unfortunately for so many young men these days, they find their morals and virtues from the wrong type of teachers. This is why I'm always open to talk and to help spread positive messages in life :)

most adult now a days forgot the hardship of their parents when they were child. The boys just telling vocally how precious their parents are...Parents were not perfect but still they've done their way to raise their kids and as for the boys who have different experiences w/ their parents they still want to show care and love for them. That makes me appreciate the boys and admire them...specially when I learned about their previous lives....It is sometimes awkward to speak the lyrics with parents specially if your adult but it is good to hear the thaught of a mom...❤
Couldn't agree more. I feel that even now. I'm not perfect, but damn it! I try my very best. To take the best quality's of my mother, and to make something special... my own story with my son. Thankfully I have an amazing wife where now we blend our methods together to create a story of love and learning for our son. This is what MAPA means to me. I love everyone's story's though! To learn about our community and learn on a deeper level... I freaking LOVE making these videos!

With all the innovation, advancement of technology that is happening, other not so important things getting our attention we already forgot simple things and things that really matters which is our family, friends and the old ways where everything were just simple and people uphold their values.

They are in their 20’s, although Josh and Pablo will be 31 and 30 respectively, I think on their coming birthdays. Pablo and Josh bdays are in Sept and Oct respectively.
Mid to late 20's, I said around 30, as they are all around 30 lol I just didn't have the exact ages. They are mature none the less :)

I love this reaction video. I can totally relate coz I am a single mom too and I have one son who I refused to leave behind eventhough I had an opportunity to work outside the Philippines but I chose to stay so I can be with him and raised him myself. And I was reminded also when my son had his first heartbreak, I was with him and just doing my best to atleast cheer him up or just listen to him pour his heart out.
