How One Young Pilot Became a WAR-HERO for the Separatists (Anakin War Crimes #2) - Star Wars (CANON)

  • After his planet was blockaded and his father was horribly killed on board an unarmed transport by who he believed was Anakin Skywalker, a young separatist royal named Tofen Vane, joined the Separatist army and vowed to get Revenge on Skywalker taking away his father’s life in a horrible war crime. The only problem was that Anakin claimed that he never took the shot which killed the young separatist’s father. So who killed him and committed this war crime?
I’m going to breakdown Part 2, of the time Anakin was punished for War Crimes by the Jedi council.
This is the story of How One Incredible Young Pilot became a war-hero for the Separatists, and wanted to kill Anakin Skywalker.
So to begin the story we arrived at the Valahari shipworks plant, where the daily transport has just come in to deliver materials and electronic components. If you remember from Part 1, Valahari produces the absolute best Starfighter engines in the galaxy, and the ships that they are producing are absolutely obliteration Republic forces. If they are allowed to continue this production, the war will very soon t urn against the Jedi and Republic.
As the transport comes int to dock, one mysterious, cloaked figure who managed to stowaway on board slips away into the darkness, before climbing the Vane family tower, and sneak in on Lady Elodore Vane as she is in her residence. It’s of course, Obi-Wan kenobi.
Obi-Wan apologizes for entering unannounced, and lady vane is absolutely furious, because she believes that Obi-Wan and Anakin were the ones who blew up the transport carrying her husband, which was completely unarmed.
obi-Wan apologies for the death, and adds that the Viscount of Valahari was a great man, but Lady Vane is having none of it, telling Obi-Wan to save it and threatening to have him executed on the spot for murder her husband.
Obi-Wan then tells Lady vane to search her feelings, and to realize that Anakin, the Republic and himself had absolutely nothing to do with the killings. Obi-Wan tells the grieving lady that she has proof of this, but she immediately slaps him down and says “your proof is worthless if it comes from the Republic. As far as I am concerned, Skywalker is responsible”.
Because of their past relationship, when Master qui-Gon and Kenobi were assigned to Valahari many years ago, she agrees to okeep his presence here a secret, but warns him that he must leave immediately. Obi-Wan is of course never one to push things too far, and agree to leave without causing any more trouble. Immediately as Obi-Wan leaves, a furious count dooku storms into Lady Vane’s room and asks if she is alright, having felt a tremor in the force. Lady Vane covers for obi-Wan telling Dooku that perhaps it was just her pain for having lost a loving husband.

      Eeyup.
Tofen isn't the only character based on the Red Baron in Star Wars, but he is the one who is an almost an exact incarnation of The Red Baron.
The other two are Baron Fel, an Imperial Fighter Ace, and Major Vonreg, a First Order fighter ace who wore a Red flight suit and a Red TIE Interceptor.
Both really only had small similarities to the Red Baron (both were fighter aces, Fel was a Baron and Vonreg flew a Red starfighter.), but Tofen is pretty much an exact copy. (If you look up a picture of Manfred Von Richtofen, The Red Baron, and compared it to Tofen, there's a stricking resemblance between the two. )

@@AngelDust6969Thank you. I love star wars for decades but I missed a lot of the stuff from other sources than movies. I know baron von Richthofen. Me and my schoolmates looked up to the heroes of WW1 and he was my favourite. I only feel weird that the uniform looks more like Lufftwafe. He looks little bit like a Lufftwafe pilot's portrait from one local museum but his face and look is otherwise similar to the Red Baron. I don't know how to feel about it. My generation still experienced denazification and I am sorry. It's just my weird personal feeling.

Like for example the Umbara arc and how the battle for that planet was because the representative of the Umbarans was assassinated by another Senator and that Darth Sideus had no part in it.

      @richardbonnette490 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Huh? What are you talking about? Tofen is a hero fighting for the great cause of the separatists! He doesn't compare to the evil Nazi regime. Tofen is a warrior of truth and peace, not a tool of war. You are led astray by the lying Senate! Come to the bright side, where we recognize the value of human life and use droids, not human clones, to fight our battles against the enemies of the Confederacy!
      All in jest, of course.
And yet, what is true about these comics is that when people are ignorant of the truth, they may fight for a good cause, but it is almost always for the wrong people and under the wrong government. What is true in our world applies to the Star Wars world. Propaganda - that is, deception - is what makes people fight the wrong wars for the right reason. And an uninformed public is the definition of slavery, it is just that no one knows it in the Star Wars trilogy until it is too late.
What is so realistic about Clone Wars is that, whatever actually happens, it was always a battle of evil vs. evil. Only evil wins by violence and deception, because violence and deception is the best means for evil to win! Good men, supposedly characterized by the jedi order, have no need for such cruel tools of war, but if they themselves are deceived, even good men can fall into the cunning trap of deception.
If the jedi were smart, they could defeat this invisible enemy by calmly searching for the truth, and either side could come to a true peaceful agreement - one that ignores the corrupt officials on either side of the war. The only way to win is through cleansing their OWN side of its extremists and violent rulers, but no one is able to realize that, because of the depth of propaganda and deception that permeates the ranks of common civilians and soldiers alike. Clone Wars is a sad story because it is too realistic. Even good people can blindly follow an evil cause.
North Koreans are an excellent example of that. The uneducated populace, controlled by the overpowering army, and ignorant of the marxist tactics of communism, made entire cities gladly accept the yoke of North Korean totalitarianism, while misinformation tactics on either side of the war created a violent hatred of respective US and NK soldiers. Both sides committed war crimes. Both committed acts of violence. The question is for what purpose and in the long run, what did it solve. For instance, it is known that many North Koreans would purposefully panic or bomb an entire village (often in South Korean areas) so that it created a massive crowd, preventing US manuvers and also hiding among the civilians, so that they can silently assassinate leaders at the same time. After that, frantic US commanders and US military officers rarely trusted Korean civilian evacuations again and often killed evacuating civilians whenever they posed a military threat to logistics or movement. This was quickly communicated to the North Koreans who already had people in place to witness the crimes, and also made sure such information would leak out to the America public to create horror and distrust.
It was a warcrime made by the US military officers, but it was entirely started by the deception of North Korean soldiers who used the populace to shield their own tactics. Who could be blamed? Both sides, obviously. But in the end, the US military pulled out due to the uneducated and horrified American populace, and due to senatorial backlash, which North Korea did not have to worry about, since it ran an authoritarian regime where not only was condemning information suppressed but where all protests or revolts were violently quenched. No one could speak against North Korea. Not even to this day.
If you think about it, Star Wars is a comparison to some of the most violent, deceptive, and cruel wars in our history. It all begins the same and ends the same. A war started to gain control and power, a war ended when one side or the other has more control or more power.
The whole Star Wars mantra to me, is a big thought experiment: what happens when you find yourself fighting a bad war for the right reasons? How do you educate the populace and make good come of it? How do you cease fire without giving up individual rights or without creating a powerful regime?
This war of deception - it is being fought worldwide. And it is still happening in the US to this day. Sure, there are no blaster bolts or lightsabers, and we may be on a single planet. But the idea of two sides constantly fighting for a bad party (while fighting for the right ideals) continues, and will continue many years after Star Wars is forgotten entirely. It is too easy: little people and common civilians are moved around the big country like little chess pieces, both sides adhering to what they think is right, while the real people in power laugh as they gain control and the individual rights are slowly taken away from the ignorant masses; and the ignorant masses, in turn, believe it is the other side that is responsible for their terrible position and miserable life and their hardships, instead of learning about the ones who control them.
Yes, Star Wars, to me, is a giant thought experiment and I unfortunately kind of let you through it. Sorry for taking so long to point out a very obvious moral from Star Wars. The question still remains, though, who is the ignorant masses and who is the educated public? We won't know, now, will we?

@@richardbonnette490 why??? Why on gods name would you call him a Nazi. Is it because he's German? Richthofen was a fighter pilot in world war 1. Way before the Nazis were even a thing. He was shot down and killed in 1918 as the war was coming to an end. You can look this up to see for yourself. He had nothing to do with Nazism or the Third Reich. I'm really upset that this is the first thing people think when they hear something German or something that sounds German.

@@jjfgaming1137 haha that is not the first thing people think of when they think of Germany, JJF. That is certainly not what I think of when I think of Germany (usually I think of BMW, though, which I guess is better).
It was only me who thought that. My memory slipped. Yeah it was WWI, not WWII. :/
Still, WWI has a lot of similarities to WWII, so you might better excuse my memory slip. Both leaders wanted to create a "Reichland" that would swamp all their neighbors and obtain more power. Both were fairly ruthless, the only difference being one war was started by a foreign and novel ideological dictatorship, while the other was ruled by a dictator fighting for the sake of fighting.
Sorry. If you want, I'll edit it out of the previous comment.

@@richardbonnette490 yeah... the difference between hitler and wilhelm is that wilhelm actually tried to get a peace deal after the first few months of the war and even took full responsibility for his actions. Hitler on the other hand was a spawn of satan himself. and its ok if you got confused. i just assumed you thought they were the same so the blame is actually on me. sorry

Well this would have definitely ruined the valahari, first they rise up against the Republic and align with the Separatists, a traitorous act that thousands of loyal Republic senators would naturally decry. But to rub salt in open wounds they accuse Anakin, who is considered by many to be a hero of the Republic of a war crime that evidence indicates he didn't commit, I wouldn't be surprised if the Republic punished the Valahari severely for this.
