The Emperor made a lot of strange choices regarding the Thousand Sons and their Primarch. Just leaving them with Magnus on a psycher run world with no oversight while they were mutating to death alone was odd for him.
I like the space wizards as idea for awesome chapter. However their hubris in thinking that “if I just read a little more or learn a little more, I can control this.” That just strikes at me wrong. Great video.
Wowzers, from “flesh change” to actually becoming full-on Chaos Spawn. Psychic implantation during freak Sol System warp storms was very unfortunate timing. Although the psyker abilities of the XVth would have unprecedented effectiveness on most if not all of the Terran opponents, I'm curious about what made Boeotia as finally resilient as that holdout state had been. Mentally “leashing” entire populaces to their own will may seem more benign than direct warfare, death and destruction...but that forcing-upon of subjugation so directly seems like a furthering of one of those portents that Magnus was worried about. These astartes' own willful escalation of that into “guile and trickery” only brings me nearer to agreeing with Leman Russ' argument. “Nikaea”, in relation to the Thousand Sons, bears a similarity to “Nehekhara”...just sayin'. Also, this legion's primary sigul was always eight-pointed, hmm. Despite that, their primarch seemed like a legitimately earnest giant fellow at first. They did also look good in those fire-portal red legion colours. Sparse info or no, I'd like to hear more of Crusade-era, pre-Heresy Thousand Sons. Until you conjure up that following video of these wizarding warriors, thank you again for this series, GDN. Be well, continue to have a terrific weekend...the Emperor protects.
Im finishing the 4th Azeck book and im convinced they are gonna try and rehab the 15th to loyalist.... theres too many references to regret and returning to truth whatever that means
tragedy that the thousand sons went through their transformation Turning into mindless drones but at least you won't get no complaints from The men who will do your orders no matter what
Probably my favourite point of view legion during the crusade era... Strange how I don't recall anyone in the 40k setting doing the random telekinetic things the thousand sons do during the crusade, like stripping and cleaning guns with their minds lol
That's because thousand sons were innately more powerful than other psykers even other legions. They also used warp creatures called Tutalaries to amplify their powers if not out right use them to do things for them. The creatures were invisible to most even other psykers so people thought it was the Thousand Sons picking up things and doing shit.
