the gyrotorque was the gyrotorque... the gyromatic was the gyromatic.... ;) my '53 came with the Gyromatic and has the name plate for such... BEAUTIFUL car BTW :) built mine over the last 16 years
That car has the most miserable oil filter a person could ever deal with! It’s in a cannister on the right side of the engine. No clearance to take out the long bolt. Several gaskets and o rings have to be carefully lined up or it’ll leak! It takes about an hour of miserable work to get it right! Much better off with the tried and proven flathead six with a manual!
